Three days have passed, and Gabriella is between life and death, the doctors were doing everything possible to save her, but she was not reacting to any of the procedures performed. In a small meeting of the medical team to discuss Gabriella's case, she is disillusioned by them, one of the neurologist doctors says:

— Waking up from a coma is not common, usually the patient dies before clinical complications. — As they had already done everything that was within the reach of medicine, they see no other solution but to wait for a possible reaction, saying that only a miracle would save her at that moment.

At that moment in Gabriella's home, despair has taken over Marina, who starts to cry and question God.

— My God, what happened to Gaby? Where is my sister? I have already lost my mother, I can't lose my sister too, help me find her, I don't know what to think anymore, nor how to act.

As in a miracle, Alice's help arrived and with it the necessary information to find Gabriella. Alice, agonized by knowing everything between Eduardo and her friend and not being able to say anything, in face of Marina's despair, sees no other alternative but to look for Eduardo to know what happened. When she looks for Eduardo at home, she learns of the accident and, shocked, runs to Marina and tells her everything. She tells her everything she knows and says that Eduardo has suffered a very serious accident, but nothing is known about Gabriella.

The two rushes to the hospital where Eduardo is and when they arrive, the sad news, Marina's despair is even greater when she finds out that her sister was in fact with Eduardo in this very serious accident and is in a state of deep coma, without many chances to survive. Nervous and in panic after trying unsuccessfully to see her sister, Marina contacts her father, but Soraya answers the phone, and without alternatives tells her the facts and asks her stepmother to talk to Ronaldo, who comes to the hospital as soon as possible. A few hours later, Ronaldo arrives with blood in his eyes, already poisoned by Soraya. As soon as he sees his daughter, he wants to find out how everything happened.

— Where was it, Marina? Marina, who was your sister with?

— Calm down, father, I don't know yet!

He finds out that Gabriella was with the son of a very well-known businessman, and his name was Clovis. He also finds out where was the place of the accident and how it happened. When he notices that Ronaldo was visibly very nervous, the doctor and director responsible for that area asks him to sit down and calm down a bit, he explains that everything possible is being done to save his daughter and that Ronaldo didn't need to worry about the financial part, everything was already paid by the father of the boy, who had assumed the medical expenses. Ronaldo hugged Marina with tears in his eyes and said:

— I am very disappointed with Gabriella. You and she were my greatest pride, moving with you to this city and everything I did was thinking about the future of my children, and today to my distress, besides seeing my daughter between life and death, to my disappointment I just learned that she also lied that she was going to travel with the school. When I heard the name of the father of the boy who was with her sister, it didn't take long to realize the truth, connecting one thing with another, I see that I'm really in serious trouble, I found out who was the guy who was with her. — At this moment Soraya calls and Ronaldo answers saying to his wife. — Everything is going wrong, I was too blind as you always said, I should have listened more to what you were saying. Do you know who Gabriella was with?

— No, man, with whom? But that's not the point, I want to know about Gaby, tell me how is she? — he answers, pretending to be worried.

— She's in a coma! Gabriella lied to us all, Soraya, she did not go to any retreat, she was with that irresponsible brat of my boss's son! — Ronaldo, his nerves on edge, shouts. — You can write, Soraya, if he doesn't die from this accident, I will kill that bastard with my own hands, no matter who it hurts, to start with I have already lost my job. — Still with the blood boiling, he hangs up and immediately goes after more information, only this time it is about Eduardo's whereabouts, according to him, he wanted to find the kid who broke up his family, without much luck in his search, he decides to go to his work, that is, to the house of Clovis and Maristela. Rage and anger took over his heart, the man who had always been very serious, but calm, was totally transformed by wrath.

Arriving at the house of his bosses, he was met by the maid and immediately asked.

— Is Doctor Clovis in?

— No. But what happened, Mr. Ronaldo? — he asks.

— Nothing, I just want to have a talk with him! Since he's not here, I'm going, I'll be back tomorrow.

— Come in and wait a bit, Mr. Ronaldo, he shouldn't be long, he called not long ago asking me to pack some things to take to the hospital — says Neide, wanting to help.

She went in, it didn't take long to Clovis arrive, aware that Ronaldo was waiting for him in the visitors' room. Clovis looks at her seriously, calling her attention.

— Look, Neide, for today it will pass, but during this period that Edu is hospitalized I won't even meet the Pope if he comes here, so let this be the first and last time I allow anyone to wait for me without my prior permission, is that agreed?

— Yes, sir, it won't happen again — answered Neide and bowed her head.

Without further ado, Clovis goes straight to where Ronaldo is to find out what is going on, and when he gets there he greets him

— Good evening, Ronaldo, I heard that you want to talk to me, well you may talk, I only ask you to be brief, because as you must know I am with my son between life and death in a coma at the hospital and I cannot stay long here.

— Good evening? Only if it is for you, because for me, isn’t good at all! Yes, I know about your son, and it is precisely about him, that I would like to talk to you after I give you my notice.

— But what does that mean? Why are you giving me your notice? Aren't you enjoying your work here with us? — Clovis looks at him seriously not understanding the situation.

— Yes, sir, I was enjoying it, but that was until I learned that the person who was with your son in that damn car was my daughter and that by the irresponsibility of that kid now I'm almost losing my little girl!

— No, this is not possible! How could this be? How is she your daughter, if they don't know each other? — Clovis, without any reaction, sits down not believing what he was hearing. — Sorry, Ronaldo, but you must be mistaken.

— No, Doctor Clovis! My eldest daughter is in that hospital that you paid for, between life and death, thanks to your son who disgraced my family! I just ask for resignation, I don't set foot in this town anymore, much less in this house. I want distance from this place that did so much harm to my family!

Clovis, noticing Ronaldo's upset, didn't want to wait any longer, so he made the settlement, paying him all his rights and even a little more than he owed him.

— Look, Ronaldo, I am sorry for your daughter, it is really unfortunate this fatality with our children.

— Are you sorry? Yes, I am sorry! All I want now is to go back home, our little place we should never have left — Ronaldo says.

Meanwhile, the news about Eduardo and Gabriella's accident spreads. In the same week their friends started to show up to get news, especially the coordinators of the orphanage where Gabriella was helping Eduardo, participating in the social project with poor children.
