Beginning.
Dalia and Jones met at a young age. they fell in love and had big dreams for the future. Things were not easy but they were determined.
Dalia wanted the family life. Cute little house and children. Jones wanted the same but he also wanted his own family run restaurant. He loved to cook and couldn't imagine doing it without his family. They worked hard for 5 years saving and planning. They had their 5 year plan and were doing everything possible to get to their end goal.
About 3 years into their journey Dalia became pregnant with their first child. They welcomed their son Christopher into the world 9 months later. Seeing his son made Jones strive even harder to reach his goal. For him things were coming together.
Things didn't go exactly to plan. They took a little longer than they originally thought. Having a new baby money was a little tighter. They lived in a tiny one bedroom apartment and continued to save every dime they could.
Only a few short months after Christopher's 4th birthday they finally signed the final closing paperwork and received the keys to their new restaurant. It was a very big day for them. It was a quaint little 2 story building right in middle of town. The bottom floor was a sweet little 50's diner styled main area. A massive kitchen that had been completely renovated. All of the appliances were the newest models. Upstairs was a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment which had also been recently renovated.
It wasn't exactly the cute little house that Dalia had wanted in the beginning, but she new that they would make this their home. As they began moving into their new home to start their new lives Dalia and Jones discovered they were going to be welcoming their 2nd child. Elated by this news they celebrated with family and friends while having the Grand Opening of their restaurant. Dalia's Place was finally open for business.
Dalia and Jones knew that they had finally seen their dreams come true. Dalia's Place was a favorite of everyone in town. It had a very welcoming familial atmosphere. Soon they welcomed their baby girl into the world. Rosalind was the final piece of their dream. Their lives felt complete.
A year after opening they had to add a small outdoor eating area. Their customers had grown in numbers. Both Dalia and Jones worked in the restaurant. As well as Dalia's younger brother. Things seemed to be going so well.
Christopher and Rosalind never wanted for anything. They had kind, happy parents who loved them and supported them with every decision. At a young age the children would beg their parents to let them help in the restaurant. They started with small jobs like filling the napkin holders and sugar packets. The older they got the more they could do to help.
Both children excelled in school as well. Christopher had plans of being a family lawyer. Rosalind being 4 years younger was still trying to find her place. She was active in sports and was also in cheerleading. When she started junior high she didn't help as much in the restaurant. She was very into volleyball, basketball, and cheerleading. Plus hanging out with friends was very important to her too.
Christopher had also spent the majority of his time at school doing extra curricular activities. He had a perfect gpa and was beginning to prep for college. While he was preparing for college Rosalind was starting to date. It was definitely a big step.
Even though Dalia and Jones were nervous about Rosalind dating they had faith that they had instilled in her everything she would need to make good choices.
