Briar POV
Feeling the rage flowing out of every pour on my body, I gather me small friend into my arms; it feels like my whole being is made of static electricity.
My ears hum, and noises sound like they are coming from far away. I climb the stairs. At the top Damien jumps in front of me. I see his mouth moving but don’t hear what he says.
He reaches out and grabs my arm, but gets thrown away from me by some unseen force, I see him his the wall and collapse with his head at an odd angle, his dead eyes stare at me as I pass.
As I approach the door, it shatters into pieces, and I walk through.
Seeing Drake in that witch’s grasp makes me scream in anger. She drops him on the ground and they both stare at me. Out of the corner of my eye, I see Drake scurrying away from the woman.
