Missy's POV
I stared at the hot stranger looking back at me from the mirror. This cannot be me. My brown hair had been been washed and styled by Candace. The usually dry and limp locks now look like rich black coffee, hanging in waves and resting on my waist. My thick glasses have been ditched and was replaced with contacts. I looked beautiful.
I had gone with Candace to a row of shops downtown to purchase clothes and shoes and other things. It felt strange to me because I usually shopped alone, and I always chose whatever I wanted, but this time around, I was just a spectator.
After she finished with my hair, she told me to go get changed at one of the rooms with the words, 'Staff Only' written across the door. I came out wearing the black gown with a plunging neckline, which she insisted I try on. My cleavages were on full display, with the gentle swell of my C cup breasts which were covered by the lacy material. The dress came to rest mid-thigh, accentuating my wide hips.
"You look stunning," Candace said, appraising me, leaning against the far wall, her slim arms resting across her chest.
"Thank you," I said, blushing. The blushing intensified when Ray stepped in with Jax. Immediately he spotted me, he stared openmouthed.
"Wow!"Jax exclaimed, and a whistle came from Ray.
" Girl, you look hot," Ray said, coming to take my hand and twirled me around. "I almost didn't recognize you," he said, "you look way hotter than the airhead, and I know Alex wouldn't take his eyes off you immediately he sees..."
"Ahem" Candace cleared her throat, coming to stand between us. "I think you should be heading home, you don't want your dad worrying his head off about your whereabouts," she said with a note of finality.
It was almost 7pm, and I left my mobile at home in my haste to get to school.
"Yes, I should be going" I said, going to pack my bags.
"I will drop you off," Jax said, speaking for the first time since he came in. He couldn't meet my eyes and he seemed shy.
"No dork, I will drop her home" Ray said, coming to stand beside me.
"I said it first," Jax said, his voice sounding firmer and I almost drooled, but I mentally slapped myself. It is obvious he likes me, I can't spoil everything by looking eager.
"Thanks Jax, but I think Ray will go with me," I said, though it hurt me to say it. Ray sniggered, victorious.
"In your face, dork," Ray said, pumping his fist.
"Ermm...Ray, I think she is going with us because we are neighbours. She lives a block away from us, so we are taking her home."
Ray seemed crestfallen, which brought a smile to Jax's face.
"Fine. You have a point," Ray said. "But you're not getting rid of me easily. I'm going with you guys," Ray said, a smile on his face.
" What about your car?" Jax asked him, a grin on his face.
"I can come and get it later" Ray replied, smug.
"Shall we go now?" Candace asked from the entrance.
"Of course," I said, dragging my bags behind me.
"Lemme help you with those," Jax offered, taking the bags from me. My eyes roam over his muscles that seemed to bunch as he lifted the bags.
"Thanks," I managed to say, walking outside and hurrying to catch up with Candace. These shoes are very uncomfortable.
The next twenty minutes was spent with me sandwiched between the two guys who insisted on sitting close to me, abandoning the front passenger seat. They cussed at each other over the music blaring from the car stereo. At last, we were home, I bid the twins and Ray goodnight, but he insisted on walking me to the door. At last he said goodnight and left. He seemed to be a gentleman, but unfortunately he was gay. I shook the thoughts away and rang the doorbell. No answer. I turned the knob and the door opened. When I stepped in, the house was filled with the scent of cookies. Dad does not bake, so I wonder who it was. I headed straight to the kitchen, and it was that same woman, Hannah, Anna or something. She turned back just in time and waved at me. I waved back and went upstairs to change. The door opposite my room opened and dad came out, staring at me shock written on his face.
"Hi dad," I said, with a small wave.
"What happened to you?"
