Missy's POV Oh. My. God! 'Not again' I moaned inwardly. 'Why does this always happen to me?' I went on my knees immediately and started gathering my fallen textbooks, but a hand came to stop me. He was apparently the owner of the fallen backpack. I hoped to have a good day, free from bullying and stress, but it seemed the Big Man up there thought otherwise. First it was the whistling, now this. I looked up to apologize, but any apology I was about to mutter died in my lips. I came face to face with 'The Alex'. He didn't look angry, rather he looked...awestruck? Fascinated? My jumbled thoughts were brought to a halt when he spoke. "Hello, are you new to the school?" He asked while his eyes roamed all over me, coming to rest on my partially exposed cleavage. I didn't know how to respond to someone hitting on me, so I stuttered. "I...I...I'm sorry," I said as I picked up the last book. I shook his hand away from my hand, stood up and hurried away as fast as my heels could allow. "I'll see you around," he shouted to me. I didn't look back, even when Ray caught up with me and we went for the first class for the day. School seemed to go in a blur, though the incessant stares worsened. Soon it was lunch break. I stood, leaning on the wall of the cafeteria while I waited for Ray so we could have lunch together. Students were filing into the cafeteria, some giving me interesting looks, but I was thankful that they just walked past. I was getting impatient and was about to go have lunch alone when I saw Ray coming from the hall straight up ahead. He waved to me and I was about to wave back when four solid walls of chests blocked my view. I craned my head to look and unsurprisingly, it was Alex and his lap dogs. 'What does he want this time?' I wondered. "Hey" he said. "Hey" I replied with a small wave, looking down. "Can I take you to lunch?' He asked while giving that predatory look again. My palms begin to sweat. What should I say? Should I ditch Ray and just have lunch with Alex instead? Just then the image of his girlfriend brought me out of my indecision. " Sorry, i'm having lunch with my friend, " I replied shyly. Just then, Ray came to stand by me. "Yes, we're having lunch together," Ray said, towering over the boys, and giving them a menacing look. Alex returned the look and they seemed to be in a staring match for some time until I cleared my throat. "I'll see you later pumpkin," Alex said, walking past Ray, and bumping his shoulder with Ray's. "You seem to have gotten the attention of every straight male in the school. That's an improvement," Ray said, resting his arm on my shoulder while we enter the cafeteria. I only want the attention of one person and it seemed I got it already. That is a plus. I smiled wide.
