New beginning

CHAPTER TWO

Shortly, one of the guys in the black suit, Ryke, said, "Boss, your lady is here; she arrived thirty minutes ago." "Oh, I see, I'll be with her shortly, tell her to put on a nice dress, you know how much I hate ill-dressing," Ethan added.

"Sure, boss, I'd inform her right away," Ryke said as he departed from the pool.

"Ethan, a new wife? Dorcas asked. "And how is that your business? You are nothing but my mistress," added Ethan as he gave her a scary glare. "Learn to mind your business, Miss," Ethan said as he left her in the pool.

Avery kept staring at them while lost in thought, she got distracted by a knock on her door. "Lady A, your husband demands to see you, please dress very nicely," he added.

"I'll be there shortly," she replied with her face squished. "Oh, so that's why he left his mistress because he was notified about my presence." She sighed "Once a monster, always a monster," she added.

She hurriedly freshened up and went to see her husband, on her way she bumped into Dorcas, "I see, so you are the new wife, purrrr I bet he hasn't seen you, you're nothing like his taste." "I'm not even sure you'd survive in bed for at least thirty minutes, talk more of satisfying him," Dorcas added.

"And I see you are his mistress, well like you said, I'm his new wife. For satisfying him, if you did a nice job I wouldn't be here today" Avery replied. "I believe I'd do better than you in bed." she added and left the mistress in shock.

"Hm," she breathed out softly, "If I should act so gentle they will take me for granted" Avery muttered. Though she wasn't happy with how she spoke back there, "I'd be quickly trashed if I act calm." Avery told herself.

Soon she got into Ethan's room, she knocked on the door "Come in" Ethan replied, now her heart was panting fast as she slowly opened the door. "Sorry for not coming as soon as you arrived," Ethan said still backing Avery. "Oh it's fine boss" Avery replied. Immediately Ethan turned to her, "Boss?" "Sorry babe" she quickly corrected herself. "We are now a couple, never refer to me as boss." Ethan added. "Sure." Avery replied.

"I called you concerning your job." Ethan finally spoke after some minutes of quietness. "What about it?" Avery asked. "Oh nothing serious, I wanted us to discuss a new business for you to indulge in," Ethan spoke. Avery was still confused, "What business does he want me to do, hope it's not an illegal business," Avery thought to herself. "I knew this man was a monster, but must he indulge me?" She spoke silently to herself.

Ethan looked at her as she was lost in her thoughts, "Hey baby" Ethan said bringing her back from her thoughts. "Any problem?" "Not at all." She quickly replied. "What's this business you spoke about?" she added. "I wanted you to start a lip care business, be it lip gloss or lip balm. I promise to support you in every way, you'd join a class in two days, that's if you are willing to start the business" "I learned it has a lot of gain in it, I'd support financially " Ethan added.

Of course, Avery wouldn't dare say no knowing how her boss was hot-tempered "Oh sure, I'd love to." She said after much consideration. "Are you sure?" Ethan added, "Oh sure." Avery added. Now there was silence in the room as both were lost in admiration.

Their eyes locked in a silent conversation, two souls gazing into each other's depths, the world around them fading into the background. The air was charged with an unspoken connection as if the universe had conspired to bring them together at this moment.

His eyes, a deep shade of blue, sparkled with adoration, while hers, a rich brown, shone with warmth and affection. They stood there, frozen in time, their gazes intertwined like the threads of a tender love song.

The intensity of their stare was palpable as if they were trying to convey the depth of their emotions without uttering a single word. It was as if their eyes were speaking a language that only they could understand, a language of love, desire, and longing.

In that moment, time stood still, and all that existed was the two of them, lost in the infinite expanse of each other's eyes. The world outside receded, and all that remained was the gentle hum of their hearts beating in perfect harmony.

Their lips got closer, and then there was a knock on the door, "Sorry boss your mom requested to see you and your lady immediately" Avery and Ethan stopped what they were about to do. "We will be there shortly," Ethan replied. "I'd be waiting in the living room," Avery said. "Why are you leaving? Wait here let me dress up quickly."

Avery admired Ethan's body, lost in her thoughts once more. Ethan kissed her on the cheek "Baby shall we?" He said. She smiled "Sure." On their way to see Ethan's mother she thought to herself, "He has changed a lot"

The drive to Ethan's mother's house was 3 hour's ride, on their way they chatted and finally, Avery was now comfortable with Ethan. The Ethan she knew at work as her CEO was different from the Ethan she married. She wondered why he was so mean and wicked at work but was very nice to her now they were married, she knew there was something more to Ethan than she knew. Well right now, she just enjoyed this new Ethan but still wondered if it was her reality or a nightmare.

Finally, they got to their destination, the house was indeed big, and the outer decorations were lit, when they got in, she looked at the house mesmerized. "You got a nice place, Mommy, she said to Ethan's mom" "You are welcome to my humble abode," Mrs Owen Charlotte said as she looked at Avery with delight.

"I hope she would be able to stand him" Ethan's mom muttered
