Mythic love lines

A long ride from Upstate New York to Washington state . I could have flown but I wanted the time to collect myself and figure out what I was going to to do and how to adjust to my situation . A week has passed since I lost the two most important people in my life .Not one but both of my parent and six months before this ,my beloved aunt Gem. My parents were out enjoying their date night. They loved each other so much . Every week they would set aside a ‘date night’ and would make time for each other . Mom was my best friend. We had no secrets between us .She loved me and I knew she did . She was there for me when I lost my aunt. I’d like to think I gave her strength and everything she needed through her loss. they were close . After Aunt Gem lost her husband , she called ‘mate’ she was never the same . People called her strange , I just think she was broken hearted . I think that is what she actually died of . A broken heart . My dad , her husband ,Eric ,wasn’t my real dad but he has been my dad since I could remember and never treated me as if I wasn’t his . He was my father . He loved me like a daughter and always told me that he would love my mother until forever and that I was a bonus . He didn’t have any children of his own and mom and him never had any together so he was proud to call me his daughter . He was the best father I could ever ask for or want . We all had a very special family bond . I will miss them. All. Now I am alone. I want to cry but I know I need to be strong . They would want me to be . I am currently on my way to Washington state . A town named Wolf Ridge . I guess this is where Eric’s family is and they have agreed to take me in because I have no other family . My mom and aunt were the only siblings and no other family members were either alive or available . So here I was on my way to an unknown place , about to meet a bunch of unknown people . Yay for me . I’m not shy but I do like my ‘me’ time . Away from people and there drama . Right now I’m just not interested in being introduced to a ton of new people with everything going on . The changes are quite a lot at one time . A new town , new ‘family’ , new school , have to make new friends ,eventually find a new job too. Here I was pulling up to what looks like a gated community. It actually looks like it could be the town . That is how big it is . Crescent Wolf estates written above the iron gates . Hmmm , they even have guards at the gates? They looked as if they were sniffing the air? They talked with the driver a bit asking a bunch of questions before eventually opening the large iron gates . I wonder why Eric never mentioned his family and apparently how wealthy they were . I knew we were well off but not like this .Each house looked alike ,large and prestigious . Yards all manicured….perfectly . As we are driving further in , you can see where the community has grown through the years . Homes seem to be older looking as we travel inward . Not any less immaculate , if anything more so .They were all extremely well taken care of through the years .especially for how old some were . We pulled up and stopped in front of to what looked like castle . The largest of the houses I had seen and by all means evident that is was oldest .this was not like the other homes .
