CHAPTER 4 Vivian's POV The light pierced through the curtains, invading my eyes and pulling me from the depths of sleep. I groaned, reluctantly waking up, as the haze of sleep cleared and I became aware of something hard beneath me. It moved up and down rhythmically, as if breathing. My eyes fluttered open, and to my shock, I realized I was lying on top of a man. Confusion gripped me. Who was he? What had happened? My gaze darted around the unfamiliar room, and slowly, the events of last night began to seep back into my consciousness. "Oh goddess, what have I done?" I whispered to myself, horror striking me like a bolt of lightning. The memories were sharp and clear now. I had met this man in a bar, and in a whirlwind of poor decisions, I had slept with him. He had taken my virginity. Panic surged through me as I considered the consequences. What would my family say if they found out? The thought was unbearable. The man beneath me groaned, stirring awake. I hurriedly pulled myself away from his chest, disentangling myself from the sheets. The cold air hit my naked skin, and I flushed with embarrassment. "I had s*x with him," I thought, my mind racing. "This doesn't make any sense." I glanced back at him. He was calm, almost serene in his sleep. He was handsome, and a small part of me could understand why I had been drawn to him last night. But that didn't change the fact that I needed to leave, to put this behind me and forget it ever happened. As I carefully swung my legs over the side of the bed and placed my feet on the cold floor, a voice stopped me in my tracks. "So you're just going to leave, huh? I thought you enjoyed sleeping on my chest." His tone was teasing, but his words made my face burn with shame. "I-I'm sorry..." I stammered, desperately wanting to hide my face. The humiliation was overwhelming. I wanted to flee, to avoid any more awkwardness. And, most importantly, I didn't want him to realize that I was an Omega. It was probably forbidden for an Omega to lay with a noble. If I got caught, the consequences could be dire. "I need to dress," I thought, but the way he was looking at me made it impossible to move. "Could you please look away?" I asked him, trying to sound polite. He raised an eyebrow, clearly amused. "I've seen your body already," he replied, a playful smirk on his lips. "You don't have anything to hide." My face flushed even deeper. "That doesn't mean you get to stare," I snapped, finally finding a sliver of courage. "Please, just turn around." To my surprise, he complied, rolling over to face the wall. Grateful for the small mercy, I quickly gathered my clothes from the floor, trying to piece together my dignity along with my outfit. As I dressed, my mind raced with questions. Who was this man, really? And why had I felt such an inexplicable connection to him? Last night was a blur, but certain moments stood out with crystal clarity—his touch, his voice, the way he looked at me with a mixture of desire and something else I couldn't quite place. Once fully clothed, I turned back to face him. He was sitting up now, watching me with a curious expression. "Are you just going to leave without saying anything?" he asked, his tone softer now. "What do you expect me to say?" I replied, my voice shaky. "Last night was... a mistake. It shouldn't have happened." "Do you really believe that?" he challenged, his gaze piercing into mine. I hesitated. Did I? The rational part of me screamed yes, but another part, a quieter but more insistent part, whispered no. I didn't know what to believe anymore. "I... I don't know," I admitted, hating the uncertainty in my voice. "I see," he said, standing up shamelessly naked. He walked toward a small fridge and took out a drink. I couldn't help but ogle at his abs and muscular features. He finished his drink with a sigh and looked at me. "You're still here?" he asked, his demeanor having changed completely. Was this the same gentleman who took my virginity? My mind flashed back to last night—it was the best night of my life. "I... um... I need to take a shower," I stammered, trying to figure out what to say. "So, you wore your clothes only to get naked again," he said with a scoff, and I growled at him. "Jerk," I whispered under my breath as I walked into the shower. I came out of the shower fully refreshed, no longer reeking of alcohol. He sat on a couch, pressing his phone as if waiting for me to come out—except now he was fully dressed. "Were you waiting for me?" I asked him. He scoffed arrogantly. "You overestimate your value," he said harshly. I felt a sting in my heart as he dropped a hundred-dollar bill on the table. I raised an eyebrow. "Do you think I'm a prostitute or something? I don't need this!" I said, folding my arms. The audacity of this jerk to treat me like I was some slut was infuriating. "Calm down. This is for the morning-after pill or whatever they call it. To prevent a baby. I don't need that kind of responsibility on my head," he said calmly, standing up to leave the room. "You're a d**k, you know that," I said, pouting my lips. He shrugged his shoulders. "If you say so, princess." He opened the door, but before he could leave, I yelled at him. "Is that all you have to say? You spend the night with me, take my virginity, and you hand me money like I'm some slut!" I roared at him, and he scoffed at me. "Come back here! I'm not done!" I yelled, but he closed the door behind him. "What a d**k," I whispered to myself, upset. I looked at the money he left and scorned it. I took it along with me and gave it to one of the staff members, who thanked me with a bow as I left the hotel. I saw the stranger walk into a sleek black vehicle with tinted windows and a custom plate number. I noticed the insignia on the car again, and that was when I realized who I had slept with. He was an Alpha—the Alpha of the Silver Wolf pack.
