“I suppose we can all be grateful that these are all inert devices, with absolutely no capacity to detonate,” said Sarah. “Nevertheless, a person who places inert devices that resemble explosive devices still commits a felony in Oregon,” she added. A pause consumed several moments. William understood from experience that Sarah Helmick was establishing a plan of action. “I want you to find these people,” she said.
“I think we are on a path toward finding them,” said William as he gazed upon the photographs he held in his hand. “It appears that one of the members of the Portland Association Against Fascism placed the 911 call,” said William.
“Do you know who it was?”
“Yes,” said William. “It was Josiah Alexander, a member of the PAAF and an assistant of some kind to Chase Mattingly.
