Talon I opened my eyes and blinked a few times to adjust to the brightness thinking that Alicia would be lying next to me as she sometimes did. However as I looked over I realized that the space beside me was empty and the sheets felt cold to the touch. It became clear to me that she must have gotten up and left the bed quite some time ago. With a deep sigh I slowly rolled myself out of bed and I could still feel the lingering effects of sleep hanging onto me like a heavy blanket.
