Emily P.O.V
"I think our mate is here."
" Zamora why do you think you can say the most random things? We don't get one of those , you know that. And you never talked to me about this."
"I understand what I've said , Emily. But now I'm telling you what I know. I feel his presence here. Its getting closer."
I'm going to throw up.
The crazy thing is , I can feel him coming closer. Oh my Goddess. It's making me feel warm. Small beads of sweat trickled down my forehead. Its getting hot in here. I began to fan myself with my hand. Why am I so stressed.
"Emily , calm down!"
I retuned back into the corner and began to shake.
"Zamora , what's happening?"
" His presence alone has you quaking in your boots my dear."
Was she trying to make a joke? Why is she trying to be funny.
"Your not helping me."
"He is powerful. I'll handle it if it's too much for you."
"Please?"
"No problem love."
Heavy boots clomped down on the concreate. Coming closer and closer. The closer they came , the more adrenaline rushed through my veins. I was scared out of my mind.
Alarick's P.O.V
A guard led me to the latest prisoner. My wolf was going crazy , and I knew the woman behind the cell was my mate. She was so small and she was shaking like a mad man. She was gorgeous in the face , she had beautiful brown skin and big curly hair. But...She looked underfed. I planned to change that about her.
I kept a straight face.
I wasn't ready for anyone to know I had a mate yet. Tensions are very high in the Kingdom with other rouge territories. If they were to ever find out that I had a mate , they would try anything to try and get even with me. I wasn't ready to risk losing her.
"Why it's just a little girl." I grumbled. "Why waste my time in showing me this? Why not dispose of this intruder the way we do all of them?"
My voice was dangerously calm. I laughed internally at the guard. The guard began shaking and small beads of sweat came from his forehead. This man looked like he was ready to s**t himself.
"A-Alpha , Sir! She had wings! I swear.
"Give me the damn key. Tell everyone on guard to go on break. After, everyone needs to go on territory protocol."
The man nodded and everyone left us.
I quickly unlocked the door and crouched down next to my mate. She was shaking so much , It amused me.
"Are you scared of me?"
She nodded.
"Good. What's your name."
"E..Emily"
Her voice was quiet and raspy. It was like she hasn't talked in years.
She broke out into heavy sobs.
I rolled my eyes and sighed. Great.
"The man there says you have wings? What are you." I demanded an answer.
Her breathing ran at an even faster pace. If that was even possible. She was breathing as if she wasn't getting enough oxygen. She eventually passed out.
What a scared little thing, I thought to myself.
My wolf was so calm with her around. I didn't feel him pacing in my head. He seemed to be at peace. Weird. I haven't felt this feeling in forever.
I picked the small girl up and tossed her over my shoulder. She is so light. My wolf growled in disapproval. I trudged my way all the way up to my floor , so that I could let her sleep somewhere comfortable. I still had a lot of business to take care of. Once the maids help her get clean , she can come in my room ,but for now I laid her in the guest bedroom. What a dirty little thing she is. I pulled the duvet over her shoulder and she snuggled into the blanket.
I admired her beauty just a little longer before heading to work.
Emily P.O.V
I woke up in a cloud.
This was the softest bed I've ever been in. How did I get here though?
"Zamora?'' I whispered.
"Our mate brought us here."
The thought of someone carrying me made me blush.
My mind wondered back to my mate. Even though he scares me , I cant help but feel an attraction towards him.
His silky brown hair look so soft and his face is so strong, and his muscles. He is very handsome...What am I thinking!
"It's normal Emily , don't be so dramatic."
I feel disgusted at myself. Who has crushes on their kidnapper.
There was a sudden knock at the door. I was quickly snapped out of my daze. I didn't say anything so they just came inside.
It was an older lady with very fair skin and blue eyes. Her hair was in a very neat bun and she was dressed in a black and white dress.
She looked wise. She also looked really nice. Maybe I could trust her. I don't know.
"My name is Maria , I'm here to cleanse you my lady."
Clean me?
"Follow me."
She led me to a door that was on the right side of the room.
The bathroom was huge and the bathtub was even bigger. I looked around in awe.
She bent over to close the stopper and she twisted the knob to start the water. While we waited , she asked me to get undressed.
I was a little uncomfortable , but she talked me through it.
When the bathwater was nearly finished , she added bubbles and rose petals.
"Woah." I whispered.
"This tub has filters to separate the good water from the bad , so you don't have to worry about spoiling it. Will you need help washing?"
Will I need help? I thought about it for a second. No. I can wash myself.
I shook my head no.
"Very well then. The washcloth and towel is on the counter."
She left.
Looking at the bath water I was still in a little shock. Steam came from the bath. The last time I washed myself in hot water...I cant even remember. The water has always been cold at the cabin.
I planned to have lots of fun in this water. I've never had so much in one tub before. It was exciting!
