SAND CASTELS

1007 Words
Emily P.O.V These men were very aggressive. They didn't talk that much , and they left absolutely no room for argument. To say I was scared was an understatement. The rope that they tied around my wings were starting to burn against my sensitive skin. With every movement they made carrying me , The rope dug deeper into my skin.  my skin was probably going to be irritated for a while. That paired with the small cuts I received from the bird , I was a mess.  "Don't worry Emily. The healing process will begin soon." I found comfort in her words and tears escaped my eyes. This really sucks. "Shut up!" One of the men snapped angrily. "That's all she does is cry!" The men went on about how annoying I was , but I didn't say a word , not once. I hushed my self quickly. If I didn't ,  perhaps I'd be dead. It seemed they were reaching their level of not being able to deal with me anymore. Another ten minutes passed when a huge castle came before me. I've never seen such a huge building. It was so surreal. the building made me feel so irrelevant and small. How have I never seen this building? All my years of flying from place to place...How have I never seen this!?  How have I never just come here? There's no way that I could miss it. Maybe it's a new building. People are always building their stupid towers over the forest. When we reached the inside of the castle, the big man sat me back on my feet. I snatched away from his his hold and felt like I won. He was probably tired of carrying me. Finally! I thought. The joy I felt to be back on my feet was short lived , when suddenly the man picked me back up angrily. "Stupid girl!"  I looked down and saw the crime I committed.  My foot prints stained the marbled floor! Oops. The man continued to lug me along. I felt like a brief case.  These ropes were really starting to get to me though. Maybe they'll cut them off soon. For such a huge building it sure is quiet in here. If I had a place this big , tea parties would be thrown everyday.  Cookies for everyone , I thought. With my day dreaming keeping me distracted , I didn't even notice that we made it. I look at the room with wide eyes and disappointment. It was a very dirty little cell. With an even dirtier mattress. It smelled so bad in here. Tears welled up in my eyes. How long would I be here? Little mice scurried through the cell. And bugs crawled on the dirty mattress. I wanted to vomit. The smell alone was enough to make me gag. I flicked the white tears away. I'm so tired of crying! I just want to go home, escape this nightmare! Before the man locked the cell , he pulled a knife out. Things really couldn't get any worse. I began to panic. He grabbed me by the shoulder and roughly cut the ropes that were hurting me. At least I was right about one thing today. Before the man left , he looked at me with astonishment. When he was finally gone, I shuffled myself into the corner of the cell. I shifted back so that my wings wouldn't be in view. Zamora could finish the healing process faster this way. "I feel that everything is going to be okay Emily." "Whatever you say Zamora" I mind-linked. She was making me mad. Everything that she has predicted today has been total nonsense , we're going to die here. "Positive thoughts girl." mhm...  Narrator P.O.V Alarick is a man of very few words. You wont hear him talk unless he's issuing out a death sentence. He mostly keeps to himself. A brooding aura surrounds him that can strike fear into anyone. People fear his presence , they even bow in it. Out of respect and fear. You'd think that no one in their right mind would want to get involved with the devilish man , but Alarick always finds a way to entertain himself when there's nothing to kill. Women. They practically throw themselves at him. Since Alarick hasn't found his mate yet , most assume that he doesn't have one. Why would the Moon Goddess award such a precious thing to the King of Beasts?  Alarick knows the women want a chance at becoming the Luna , that's probably why he treats the women he involves himself with so bad. Right after completing the deed , he kicks them out. He treated them like scum on the bottom of his shoe. Most women leave crying. Alarick usually just laughed. "How foolish of them to think that I actually cared about them." He would say. He knew that he was being used for power.  Most of the women in the kingdom truly believe that power resided in what laid between their legs. It just made Alarick sick. He knows that they would never be worthy. However , he still prays to the Moon Goddess everyday that she saved him someone for him.  Ever since Alarick's father stepped down from his reign , Alarick took over and became the kingdoms very first Lycan Alpha. Alarick was simply born to be a King. Everything he did was almost flawless. Alarick had heard about the intruder that dared walk upon his land , so he grudged down to the cells with a murderous intent. Screams of terror filled his ears. Usually joy would fill his heart to the brim knowing that someone was dying because of him and his men , but not this time. This time, it was something very different that was making him excited. He had long spotted the little muddy footprints that covered his marbled floor. His hyper senses detected it as honey and earth. The weirdest combination , but Alarick was enchanted by it.  It smelled like fae ,but not as sweet. It smelled like human , But three times stronger. And it definitely didn't smell like any werewolf he knew. He was determined to know what his men had captured.
