The concern

She looks at the caller and roll her eyes he has been trying to talk to her but she has refused any connections with him except with the children, she has been ignoring him for long maybe it's time they talk through.

she picks up the call and wait for him to speak first. Kain sighs, he know she won't speak to him so he starts the conversation. " hey did I wake you up." he say in a normal tone like everything is okay between them. Brianna on the other side just roll her eyes again, she answer him in a cold and uninterested way.

" their no greetings in this conversation Kain what can I do for you.". he sighs again for the past year he has regretted everything he did to her but it's true what they say old habits die hard he still has fling here and there but here he is trying to apologize to her. he looks to his left and see a woman he picked up from bar down town sleeping peacefully.

" I just wanted to hear your voice it's been long."

he say holding the phone close to his ears.

if it was long time ago she would have melted, he used to go on long trips because of his work and he would send those lovely messages to her, now that she remembers then she can't help but to feel hurt all those lovely messages he would send while having s*x with someone. the hurt is still there but she laughs at the memory loud enough for him to hear. If he is been honest he thought she couldn't survive without him but she proved him wrong, taking care of their children. " words like this made me look like a fool in the past Kain but who is complaining I was like a pest still is to you please call the kids on their line you and I we are history." it's true he just wants to get back with her because of his male ego love between them is long gone, he doesn't even care about his children that much those little brats are none of his concerns but who is he to say this out loud. Brianna know nothing in this world will ever change her mind about divorcing the man that caused her much pain.

Even though she is an orphan she still have her babies and Keith by her side. " don't let the past cloud your judgement Brianna let bygones be bygones." Brianna yawn feeling sleepy she doesn't have enough energy to continue this conversation before he can speaks again she cuts the call and switch off the phone. she connects her phone to the charger, sleeps comes quickly and and falls asleep.

She gets dressed in her working attire and slips some shoes on the kids have already gone to school. she applies a little make up never been one to do it, she feels like she is doing this for someone. she does know that her boss is young and she has a rule of not falling in love with people who are younger than her but looking at the boss is becoming unbearable the man is handsome that body could make any girl go weak in her knees and the eyes oh she shouldn't go their.

She knocks the door three times and wait for come in.

" come in." he say In calm tone but it's inside he is brewing his mum is pressuring him to get married she even sent him on blind date last night that didn't end well his head is pounding with this much thoughts in mind. Brianna enters the office and hand him the file that contains the contract he is signing today.

" sir here is the contract, all the clauses are their if you need to change anything....." he interrupts her before she finishes. " no need to change anything am sure it's perfect.". he know she is dedicated to her work. " and you're going with me." She nods her head and go out to prepare.

After signing off the contracts the two stay longer at the cafe to eat. they skipped lunch because the client wanted to sign the contract and gets going. Brianna thought they were rude but she didn't voice her concern.

They order the food and eats in silence. they would steal glances at each other without meaning to.

The silence was not awkward but it was getting onto him so he spoke first.

" how are the kids." he chastise himself for starting the conversation like that but what can he do. she smiles at the reminder of her kids. " they are okay, they have been doing good school and am so proud." the smile spreads even wilder on her face. he notice the dimples on both cheeks for the first time and he can't help the smile that break loose on his face.
