ELEVEN

"Hey, boss. Athena Armakov's assistant just called to make an appointment for tonight. It's dinner. Again. Do you want to go?"

"Do I have anything else for today?"

"Nope. This is the last meeting for today"

"Okay. Where?"

"Flaming, at 7 o'clock. Reservation under Armakov's name"

"Okay. Remind me again before you go home"

"No problem!"

After talking with my mom, which is last week, Athena keeps looking for me. I told her she can't just barge into my office like she is the owner and she must make an appointment to see me because I am a super busy person (which is half true!) so she tried to make an appointment every day for the last four days.

"Oh, Kev. Don't forget that to tell them I accepted because one of our investors is rescheduled the meeting."

"Will do boss!"

7 o'clock and I am still at the office. Kevin keeps reminding me about dinner even he already go home two hours ago. I really take my time to go there. No need to rush I tell myself.

Instead of driving a car I choose to walk. It took me more than 30 minutes of time.

"Sorry, I'm late. Got lost in work. Hope you didn't wait too long" I said to Athena when I sit down.

"It's okay. Shall we order?" I saw something creepy on her face. She actually smiles!?

"Yeah, off course" I waved to the waitress and ask her what is the best they have. After ordering, there's silence for a couple of minutes before she starts to speak.

"So how is your trip?"

"Good. I like it there."

Silence

Awkward and I don't like it.

"What about you? How's work?" I ask

"Everything is good"

"I heard you buy Ted's company. Is it true?"

"Yeah. His company is on the edge of bankruptcy, he asked for my help to save the employees"

"That will be a lot of work and money to spend. How many employees in that company?"

"Hm including the factory its almost over five hundred"

"Oh wow. So what is your plan?"

"Still working on it. You have done this before right?"

"So you need my help?"

"What? No. I'm sorry but um... this dinner isn't about that"

"Oh. So what it is about? Because I remember clearly that you don't want me in your life"

"I want to apologize for treating you that way before and I want.. I want we can get to know each other better. But if that okay with you?"

I look at her like she's going crazy.

But of course, I am okay with that just I won't say it loud.

Athena took my silent as a disagreement.

When she is about to leave, something happened when i hold her hand. Like my heart just drop.

"It's a farm," i say and still holding her hands

"What?"

"The one that i bought. It's a farm, not a company. The owner is someone i knew dearly. An old friend. When she retired, her son take over that place. She thought everything is fine until one day her son is gone missing. Days later bank's debt collector come to their house and warn them. They tried to sold everything they have but that is still not enough. She still have another son who is remembered me from his mother's story and he decided to contact me, asking for help."

"How are they now?"

"They still living at the farm. They can do whatever they want to do as long as they taking care of it"

Athena was about to say something when the waitress came with our food. She then look at our hands and i let it go. Suddenly an idea just popped in my head

"Do you have to work tomorrow?" I ask her

"Not really. Why?"

"Wanna go to the farm and stay for a couple of days?"

"What?"
