Chapter Twenty-Six
Her car was still in the underground garage at the office, so when she left Nathan’s place she drove Donny’s SUV back to her house.
“I need to go into the office. Can you drive me over there?”
“Absolutely.”
A half-hour later she kissed Donny goodbye, then walked through the front doors of her building and over to the bank of elevators.
Lizzie settled in for what she hoped would be a productive day. She fired up her computer, then navigated to the folder Nathan had built on the server where all the information gathered to date had been stored for the Lighte’s Landing case.
Next, she opened a browser window, pulled up the Jack County Tax Assessor’s website, and started a search for the relevant property records.
“I’m going to need more than two screens,” she muttere
