Chapter Twelve After a subdued breakfast the following morning, the residents of Lighte’s Landing gathered en masse in the chapel to say goodbye to one of their own. Sophie walked next to Claire and offered up her hand as a silent show of support. Together, they approached the front of the room, where a simple bronze urn and a picture of Paul sat side-by-side on a small table. Claire discreetly kissed her fingertips, then softly touched them to the picture before she allowed Sophie to guide her to a seat in the third row.
