#TheGlitteryTruth, #NQLoveCrisis Back at my apartment I found Nikolai sitting on the couch reading a book. Even with my new resolve to focus on my sister, I couldn’t help but niggle him. ‘Good session with your trainer?’ He grunted something and came over to kiss me. I did my best to reciprocate. ‘Is something wrong?’ ‘No, I’m just focused on my sister. We have to leave in an hour. I want to be there when the guests start arriving.’ He nodded. I went to the bathroom to shower. He read my body language and did not follow. I showered, washed my hair and tried to focus on getting ready. Nikolai’s city trip kept popping into my brain. I pushed the thought away. Like a mosquito buzzing around my head, it kept returning. When I was ready, I checked myself in the mirror. More than passable.
