#SurfsUp, #NQLoveCrisis A sunny Sunday morning was the ideal time to surf. I roused Nikolai into his board shorts and we walked the short distance from my flat to the beach. The water was crystal clear and just cold enough to provide relief from the heat that was already building up. We spread our towels out between the flags and ran into the water. That’s when I found out that the perfect man next to me was not good at everything. I dove under wave after wave. Clearing the froth and skimming the sand until I was out far enough to feel free. I looked behind me and Nikolai was not much deeper than his ankles. He didn’t seem interested in venturing any further. I waved to him and he waved back.
