CHAPTER 23
We locked the doors, both of them. We couldn’t risk anyone stumbling into the workshop during my spell.
“Are you sure this will work?” Anna said with a huff, as we pushed the table to the side.
“Yes,” I said as the table hit the wall. “Now help me roll the carpet out of the way.”
We huffed some more as we dragged the carpet away, then pulled the biggest cauldron from the fireplace to the middle of the workshop with a loud screech.
“Couldn’t you just move everything with magic?” Anna asked, breathing heavily, her hand on her hip.
“I don’t want any magic residue to mess with the spell.” I gave the cauldron a few more tugs to get it perfectly in the middle of the workshop. “Now, please bring four pieces of wood and light a fire under the cauldron.”
