CHAPTER 5 “Yas! ” I jumped and clapped when the new spell worked. Burk managed to transport the apple from one circle to the other. It felt so good to succeed after all those failed attempts. Burk was ecstatic as well, and performed the spell over and over again until the pressure of transporting the apple so many times made it shatter. And as we stood there, covered in apple mush, Burk laughed. “I think we’re done for the day,” he said. With that statement, we sat to eat what was left from lunch. No one had remembered to bring us supper from the kitchen, since they were very busy. And I’d rather catch the pixie flu than go back to the kitchen, even if Burk threatened me, which he didn’t. He was kind enough to notice I was still hungry after I had devoured the few bites left from lunch
