He was hiding something from me, I need to find out what it is. Benji is not the brother I remember. I know he acts weird when he is hiding something. Although changing into a wolf could have changed how he sees me. I don't know. Wolves aren't my favourite thing. Since the attack on my brother’s attack I haven't much liked them. Things are starting to change though. Now I am actually getting to know wolves personally some of them are actually really nice.

I had planned all the combat lessons for the new class, with the help of Theo. We were sat in the Office at the top of the stairs, overlooking the hallway. We had stacks of combat and training books around us that we could use for ideas. I wanted to ask Theo about Benji, but I didn't know how to word it. I sat there and though about how to word my question. I finally got it after 10 minutes.

‘Have you notice anything odd about Benji?’ I questioned Theo.

‘Yes, he doesn't seem himself!’ He answered.

‘I don't know what to do with myself. I want my brother but he is being weird, what do I do?’

‘I don’t know Val, I really don’t know.’

‘I cant focus now. I think it is time to have a break.’ I spoke at Theo smiled at me.

‘You are reading my mind Val’

We finished our planning and stacked all the books neatly at the head of the table. Ready for out nest planning session later on.

‘Do you want to go for a walk? It would do us good to go out and get some fresh air.’ Theo suggested.

To me it sounded like a brilliant idea. We got up and walked out the office door. From the balcony at the top of the stairs I could see Benji and Jed sneaking past Angie and out the front door. Theo was stood behind me witnessing their exit. I am suspicious.

‘Want to follow?’ He questioned.

‘That was a stupid question! Of course I'm going to follow them, don’t try and stop me!’

‘Oh, Im not stopping you. It was my idea. Race you.’ Theo Challenged.

We both snuck out the house and walked down the path and across the grass that surrounded the house. I could see Benji across the grass walking into the woods that hid the academy. We trailed them for 3 miles into the woods, keeping then in front of us, far enough ahead that we could still see them. We have to keep quiet so Benji and Jed wouldn’t hear us. We made sure that we kept down wind so they wouldn't catch out scent. We crept behind them, when they stopped at a small clearing, where a man was waiting for them.

The man was tall with huge muscles. He had big shoulders, his hair was short messy on the top of his head. It was dark so I couldn't make him out clearly. From the bushes we were hid in.

‘Vik’ said Benji.

‘Benji, have you spoken to Valentine? Is she going to join us? We need her on our team! We cannot let the Vamps get hold of her and her skills!!’ His voice was deep, dark, dangerous and very sexy.

‘Not yet, She suspects nothing, I haven't had a chance to talk to her alone. I am confident that she will join us. I just need to play her favourite brother for a few more days, and she will be yours alpha!’

‘I need her Benji! I need her! Hurry up and get her for me! She will be my Luna!’

With this I had heard enough, I was going to go over there and confront them if I heard anymore. I turned Theo about to tell him we were leaving, when a sudden gust of wind blew across my face. All three men took a big inhale. They had caught our scent.

‘I can smell her.’ The strange man shouted.

They all looked around smelling the air. Benji’s eyes landing on the bushes we were hiding behind.

‘Run’ I whispered to Theo.

‘Get her, I will take her now!’ Ordered the alpha.

We both set off on foot back to the house.

‘We needed to tell Camilla.’ I managed to get out whilst running for me life.

Running as fast as my legs would carry me it wasn't long before we heard a howl in the distance and thundering paws behind us.

Weaving through the trees, jumping over rocks and logs. We finally made it to the grass in front of the house. The wolves still behind us they weren't running at full speed. Did they think that this was a game? I tripped and fell on the soft grass and screamed, when I rolled over a wolf landed on top of me.

‘Uggh!’ I pushed off the huge wolf and got ready to fight

Theo turned to see why I screamed, he was tackled by the other wolf. We were evenly matched. I couldn't tell what wolf was my brother and what wolf was Jed, one wolf was chocolate coloured, the other was a dirty blonde coloured wolf.

As we started fighting we woke the others in the house. Tristan and Callum made their way outside both jumping out of their bedroom windows and charging across the garden and to mine and Theo’s side, immediately springing into action.

‘Callum, help Theo. Get that wolf pinned down. Ive got this one.’ Tristan ordered.

Tristan changed into his sandy coloured wolf in mid air, charging at the wolf in front of me. Knocking him over and pinning him on the floor, I grabbed the wolf’s hind legs so that he couldn't kick Tristan off.

Callum used his vamp speed and knocked the wolf off Theo. The wolf was knocked to the floor Callum jumped on top of him in a flash. Pinning his head down.

‘Theo sit on his hind legs. He wont be able to kick out then!’ Callum commanded.

Thomas and Mace ventured out of the house via the front door, jogging over too us and joined in the fight.

‘Mace help me and Theo with the blonde wolf. Keep him pinned.’ Callum shouted at the two new comers.

There was a loud growl erupt from Tristans chest. Thomas came over and helped me and Tristan with the chocolate wolf. The wolves clearly couldn't win this battle. I think they realised this. Next thing I knew both the wolves had pushed us off them and ran into the woods.

Once the fight was finished the wolves having run off, we all headed back inside and to the kitchen to get drinks and snacks. We went and sat in the lounge and put a log on the already burning fire.

‘What happened, Val?’ Tristan asked.

‘We saw Benji and Jed sneak out so we followed them. They are trying to recruit me and make me Luna of their pack. They want to turn me! Their Alpha said he needed me! Said the vamps cant get hold of me. He needs my skills. Whatever that means?’ I replied.

‘They what? I don’t understand why you? What is so special about you?’ Tristan exclaimed!

‘I don’t know why they want me but they do!’ I shouted emotions clearly taking over me. It was a mixture of anger and hurt. I had to get out that room. I ran off and up the stairs and fell head first onto my bed. Tears slowly falling from my eyes. Mace followed me and sat next to me on the bed.

‘I wont let anything happen to you! Was that Benji that attacked you last night?’

‘Yes, I think so. ’ I whimpered through falling tears.

‘He wont get you. We wont let him. Tristan classes you and Theo as part of his pack. That alpha Vik or whatever his name is will not be making you his Luna any time soon. I think Tristan has a thing for you Val!’

‘Im not ready for any ‘things’ yet I have just got here I'm still making friends. I haven't got time for a relationship yet. I am solely focused on bringing peace between the species.’

‘Friends is all I'm after from you and anyone else. I am far to busy for anything else at the moment, with all planning and tasks I'm doing. I don’t have the time for anything other than friends.’

Now that I had got that out of the way I got up off the bed and dived on top of Mace and wrapping my arms around him thanking him for his support. I rest my head on his chest as he held me, his grip on me tight. I felt safe. My eyes began to slowly shut I fell asleep.
