V601

2041 Words
I ran to Tristans room opening the door and locking it behind me. I put my back flat against the door panting. ‘Valentine, What are you doing in here?’ ‘Thomas… Eyes… Red.… Fangs…. Neck…. Blood…. Powerful.’ Was all I managed to get out. Tristan noticed the 2 puncture wounds on my neck, his eyes landing back onto mine again. ‘Did Callum send you?’ ‘Yes!’ ‘Did he bite you?’ He peeked back down to my neck. ‘Yes!’ Was the only thing that I could get out of my mouth. ‘Ok, lets take a minute to calm down. Come on site down.’ He gestured to the bed. I gladly went and took a seat next to him. I took 5 minutes and a few deep breaths to calm myself. ‘Im ok, Im calm.’ I spoke holding myself together pretty well. The blood still trickling down my neck. ‘Valentine, What colour were Thomas’s eyes? You need to tell me the colour of his eyes!!’ ‘Red, They were red.’ ‘s**t! Ok I can figure this out!’ Panic setting into Tristans voice. This was not good. ‘Shall I call Camilla?’ ‘Yes, do that explain whats happened. Tell her it’s a V601. She will know what to do.’ I pulled out my phone and dialled Camilla. She answered after the second ring. ‘What’s up dear?’ ‘V601, Thomas is rabid, he bit me.’ I too was now panicking, thanks to Tristan. ‘I am on my way!’ She hung up the phone. 5 minutes later Camilla was in Tristans room. She entered via the window which was left open. ‘Right let me look at your bite. Does it hurt?’ ‘No not really. This doesn't mean I am going to turn into a vampire does it ?’ ‘No my dear, it doesn’t. Not unless you have been drinking vampire blood, then you have to die. Only then you can turn into a vampire.’ ‘Oh’ I sighed in relief I didn't want to become a vampire. ‘Where is Thomas? We need to get him caged.’ ‘He, he was in his room last I saw.’ I replied ‘Thank you my dear. Now Tristan you know what to do. Take her to the hide. Then join me in getting control of Thomas.’ Camilla ordered ‘Of course Camilla.’ Confirmed Tristan. Tristan hurried be over to the wall, pulling me along with him. He pulled open a section of wall, revealing a secret passageway. I was hurried inside and led down the dark, damp tunnel. I held onto Tristan as there wasn't any lights. I couldn't see, I fumbled around with my other hand for my phone. I pulled it out and turned on the torch, finally i could see where I was walking. The tunnel filled with light revealing the old bricks and paved floor Slowly crumbling. I tripped and landed face first into Tristans back causing him to stumble forwards. He managed to catch himself and then turn around and made sure that I was sure footed, steadying me. Ready to carry on walking down the damp tunnel. Once we were out the tunnel we entered a room through another section of wall. I turned my torch off and looked around the room. ‘Tristan, Where is the door? I can’t see one!’ ‘Thats why it is called the hide. It has no door. The only way in is through the tunnel when have just came out of. To most people it just seems like a dead end. The only people who know about this is myself, Camilla and Callum. It is so secret that not even the rest of the council know about it.’ ‘Oh so its more like a prison than a hide? It is a very luxurious prison at that.’ ‘It could be used as a prison, yes. For now it is your prison It has been stocked with everything you will need. You will be safe here. Please bolt the door from the inside and I will do the same from the outside. Text me if you need anything.’ Tristan disappeared back up the dark tunnel. He closed the wall behind him and bolting it from the outside. I did the same and bolted the inside of the wall. The bolt was thick and black, it was sturdy and looked like it could take a battering. There was a purple velvet sofa at the foot of the bed. A chest of draws against the wall as well as the huge walk in wardrobe filled with clothes. There was a small kitchen with a microwave, oven, toaster and a kettle. There was also a small gym, which had a treadmill and some weights. The bathroom was beautiful, It had an overhead shower with a glass door. There were white and black tiles all over the walls and floors. There was a huge ceiling to floor mirror that covered the entire back wall. White cotton towels were placed on piles inside a glass cabinet. I dreaded what would happen if I fell over in here, everything in this room is made of glass, it would be smashed. It was like being in a 5 star hotel but all squished down into the space of 3 rooms. I decided to run on the treadmill for a while. I ran around 5 miles then had a cold shower. I got out a dried off with one of the cotton towels, I headed towards the draws and pulled out some black silk pyjamas. I found a remote on the bedside table and pressed the power button. A TV started to rise out the end on the bed and turned on. I put on Twilight, it was a film about vampires. It was completely unlike real vampires, they don’t go all glittery and shiny in the sun. Vampires don’t like the sun, it makes them uncomfortable. Picking holes in the film, I found it fun and shouted at the TV a few times. Once the film had finished I turned off the TV and watched as it depended back into the bed frame. I turned the light out that was sat on the bedside table, the room filled with darkness and I drifted off to sleep. When I woke up to find I had received a text off Tristan. ‘Morning Val, I will pop down after breakfast, please unlock the door. I will update you on Thomas.’ I got up and took a shower in the black and white bathroom filled with glass cabinets and doors, determine that I wasn't going to break anything. I washed my hair with the bottle of shampoo that was on the top shelf of the cabinet. It was expensive, making my hair feel soft under the warm water. Even used the matching conditioner that gave my hair shine and make it look and feel silky. I washed my body using the shower gel provided it was strawberry. I smelled like fruit, it reminded me of my childhood. I grew a strawberry plant one year, I must have been around 4 or 5. It was before my parents went missing. I picked my own strawberry's and ate them all to myself. I refused to share them with my brother, after that summer I was sick of strawberries and refused to eat them again. After I was finished in the shower, I exited through the glass door, managing not to slip on the tiles. I walked into the walk in wardrobe to fine myself something to wear. There were clothes everywhere. There were jeans of various styles organised in colour order, from white to blue to black. There were also some coloured jeans such as red and blue. These had their own section, again organised in colour order. There were leggings, leggings and gym clothes, tops, blouses, dresses… everything you could think of, it was here. It was hard to choose what I wanted to wear. There was a purple velvet sofa matching the one in the main room in the centre. I plonked myself on it wearing nothing but my towel. I few minutes later I finally made a decision. I was going to wear black leather trousers which were skin tight showing off my legs and bum. I picked out a plain looking black vest top to go under a my green and yellow long check shirt. Over the top I put on an olive green bomber jacket. I swipe my hair so it was hanging over one shoulder, to finish it off I put on a black beanie hat. I have never worn clothes like this. I loved it. I was ready just in time as there was a knock on the wall. I went over and unbolted the door letting Tristan enter, he looked me up and down giving me an approving smile. ‘I see you found the clothes I chose for you. They are yours now. Once you go back to your room, I will bring them up for you. I hope you like them. The way you have dressed today really shows you, Its different but not over the top. It suits you!’ Tristan commented. ‘Tristan, you chose these? We are going to have to go shopping. You have great taste in clothes. Although you didn't have to buy these for me.’ I replied. ‘Well, I have had this room ready for weeks, incase something happened. It was our back up, Somewhere to hide you incase we were attacked or someone came for you.’ ‘Oh ok, I get it. Its like a panic room. Thank you Tristan. You didn't have to.’ Thanking Tristan I went over to the bed and turned on the tv. ‘Tristan, Come and watch a film with me. We can watch new moon.’ ‘I bloody hate new moon. Why do we have to watch it? Its all wrong!’ ‘Well, I love picking it apart and yelling at the TV. If you ignore the fact that they have got the whole vampire and werewolf thing wrong it’s actually a good film.’ ‘Ok, as you wish. I will try to enjoy it.’ We sat there and watched the film, both laughing at the sparkling vampires and the normality of their life. In the real world it was nothing like that. I thought about Thomas, how would I bring that conversation up? ‘Tristan, what is happening to Thomas?’ I though about it too much and just asked anyway. ‘He is being held in a cage on the other side of the academy. We are trying to figure out what is wrong with him. We don’t know though.’ Tristan explained. ‘When can I go back to my room?’ ‘When we think it is safe. Should be in the next 24 hours. It wont be too long don’t worry!’ ‘Ok, I want to go for a run when I'm out. I need fresh air and the forest.’ ‘Of course, I will come with you!’ ‘Thank you’ ‘Right I had better be off. I have a meeting with Camilla. I will pop down later to see you.’ ‘Ok Tristan, bye, see you later.’ Tristan left, and bolted the door from the other side. I didn't bolt my side of the door. I didn't really see the point. There are 3 people that know where I currently am, I trust them. A few hours later, Tristan text, I was allowed back to civilisation, back to my room. I grabbed a few sets of clothes and waited to be let out, waiting for Tristan to set me free.
