Prologue
The dim lighting in the club made it hard to see, even for a nocturnal creature like Christophe. Christophe frequented this club on a monthly basis. The front room housed the legal mundane bar front, but this club had a back room that was used as a bleeding den. Walking through the bar Christophe noticed that the front bar was packed with all kinds of people. Some siting in the VIP booths with some vampires eagerly awaiting an invitation to the back room, to the exclusive 'Black-light Party', as the owner advertised.          Making his way to the large black doors that separated the two sections of the club,  Christophe bumped into a waitress carrying a tray of shots nearly knocking over the tray.        "Sorry", exclaimed Christophe as the waitress tried to re-balance the tray currently in her hand on the verge of toppling to the floor.        " It's okay, " she paused as she took in Christophe's 6' foot frame and broad shoulders. "I should have paid more attention to where I was going" she explained through raged breathed attempting to keep her composure.       Through her shirt, Christophe noticed that her n*****s had turned rock hard and little goosebumps lined the top of her skin. Christophe was tempted, I say the least, to sink his teeth into the shallow flesh that pulsed on the side of her neck. Shaking his head Christophe moved passed the waitress while muttering another apology. There would be plenty of time to indulge his fantasies within the bleeder den.          Approaching the two bouncers that stood before the doors which led to the bleeder den, Christophe paused to take note that both bouncers were newly turned vampires. Two people, he has never met before, he might add. This should be interesting. He has always had trouble with new bouncers, and Christophe was not a patient person. Especially since he was here to blow off some steam.        "Hello" stated the bouncer on the right. His fangs extending slightly, probably expecting an altercation or hassle. However, the bouncer to the left seemed to be in his element, clearly unaware of the trouble that could happen here with someone other than himself. Christophe wasn't the type of man to go out and cause trouble but in his earlier days, he did find himself surrounded by trouble, a lot.        A small chuckle escaped Christophe's lips causing the bouncer's eyes to darken. Attempting to distract the bouncer from his chuckle, Christophe replied "Hello" in a polite manner, which seemed to do the trick, since the bartender's eyes became less dark around the rim.       "Are you on the list?" The second bouncer asked.        "I should be. It's Christophe Lefebre", replied Christophe. "If I'm not on there you can call Tony and he can vouch for me" Christophe started as the bouncer searched the list. "I haven't seen Tony in a few months" Christophe began before being interrupted by the bouncer.        "It's all good, you're on the list", stated the bouncer as he moved aside to open the door to allow him to enter into the bleeder den. Walking past the bouncer Christophe could see from the corner of his eye the other bouncer eyeing him up. Maybe he had heard stories from Tony of their time together in Paris. Tony always did love telling the stories of their glory days. Christophe hoped that's the only reason that he was eyeing him up.       Walking the long corridor that led into the secluded section of the bar Christophe made note that Tony had updated some of the interior decor, which better suited the delicate nature of the den itself. It probably made it even more appealing to the new crowd that seemed to be sitting in the front part of the bar.      Hypnotic music played throughout the den Driving the senses wild mixing with the intoxicating scent of fresh blood. Naked and half-naked bodies filled the den. Christophe has been to a few different styles of bleeder dens before,  but this was by far the most unregulated one. In Tony's establishments, nothing was off-limits. This was the anything goes type of place, meaning if a vampire lost control and a few mundane ended up dead no one bats an eye here.      Walking towards the bar Christoph took note of some of the key players in attendance scattered throughout the room. Joseph Rylez was a well-known tycoon in the underground vampire scene and prominent philanthropist to the mundanes. Tyler Hart was a jack of all trades, better known to all as the reaper. He was one of the people you would call in a sticky situation to clean up the mess. Two bodies that sat in one of the black-lit booths that stood out the most was Dominic and Esmeralda.       Last Christophe had heard Esmeralda had flown the coop, so to speak and Dominic spent centuries searching for her, with no luck. They were by far the last two people he had expected to see at Tony's.
