[Author’s POV]
Virgil shot the dark energy balls at Zane and Ryu with his both hands, veering them from the crown’s direction as they dodged. He jumped higher, almost flying in the sky, and caught Gare’s crown. He wore it on his forehead in the midair before landing on the ground. Black flames erupted from the crown, but they didn’t burn him. The crown had been instantly activated and Gare had started making the transfer into Virgil’s body.
“No! Not so quick!” Ryu pounced on Virgil, and both of them fell on the crown, struggling for the crown. Ryu clenched a corner of the crown and rolled on the sand with Virgil.
“Get off me!”
“Not until I get the crown!”
“Damn you!” Virgil kicked Ryu, throwing him in the air. Ryu’s back hit the cliff, and he fell on the sand.
