Chapter 7

Asher’s POV

Going downstairs we stood behind as everyone is settling down sounding cheerful and extremely excited with the presence of the new members. But, my eyes started finding the one by whose presence Hunter and my heart both became restless. But, she was nowhere to be found as I looked around. Everyone is here except her, and even the new pack members for whom everyone is so happy can also be seen.

When dad said us about them I got then only how much they are important and special for everyone but now by seeing the scene it seems that they not only special but important and respected also. “What are you doing standing like a statue? Come on, look around for her. She is here only.” Mind linking me Hunter yelled at me. “Don’t waste the time, she can also go away.”

“I know, I know just stop yelling. It’s giving me a headache.” Linking him I turned to my right to escape from there and look for our mate or else my wolf nor my mind and heart would calm down easily. The speed rate of my heartbeat is at a level where it can even blast. I just am unable to control it now just like I was not able in the morning.

Turning his head, dad stopped me and asked me to come with a big smile. Returning the smile to him, I nodded my head and kept looking around in the hope to get her to look. And, guess what? I thanked dad in my head for calling me and stopping me from escaping there.

Staring at the smiling eyes of hers I can say there are lots of curiosities in them. Lots of things and questions she has inside her which she seems very eager to explore. Smiling and seeing her cute big eyes scanning around the house and especially Alaia who is always successful in it. Seeing her energized and joyous self-everyone gets curious enough to know her which scares me and dad a lot.

That sweet toothy smile, those chubby glowing cheeks grabbing the attention of her blonde hair disturbing the blue deep like ocean eyes looking in which I feel like drowning into somewhere deep. Tugging the strands of her hair away from her round face she turned around hearing the clattering as the girls are bringing snacks following mom behind.

“Harley, this is my son, Asher, the future alpha.” Dad diverting her attention away from Alaia introduced me to her. I looked between dad and the lady but only for a sec because all my focus is only on one girl right now whose attention now I finally got as her gaze fell upon me which is now as big as a saucer with surprise.

“Hello, Asher.” The lady greeted and with great difficulty, I diverted my eyes towards her and smiled at her. “Hello….” Taking a pause with doubt not knowing what to call her as I looked at mom for an answer knowing she will understand what I am in dilemma about.

“You can call her aunt.” She answers softly and I finally greeted her properly.

“Hello, aunt. I’m glad you are back finally, we heard a lot about your mate from dad.” Trying to act humble as I don’t want to lose points in front of my mate at starting only. Staring at me she seems nervous but nonetheless tried to return back the smile which I should not state was a clear failure.

“She is your uncle Lucifer and my daughter, Hazel.” Pulling her front beside her she introduced her to me noticing me looking at her continuously. “She joined the same school as you all.”

“I know,” I stated making aunt gasp, “Oh, therefore I thought why you both have been continuously staring at each other.”

“Why didn’t you say it to me prior that you met him in school?” She asked turning her daughter and by her voice only I can say how much she has pampered her daughter. Her voice was filled with care and softness in them as if she would ask little loudly or accusingly to her she would break her daughter. But she must not know that her daughter is not that soft and delicate how she looks.

“Mom,” she hissed at her looking around as everyone staring at her waiting for her to reply. “I didn’t know that he is the son of Alpha and Luna. He was there in the class already when I stepped in and the professor made me sit beside him. That’s it, therefore we get into talking and he didn’t say to me that he is the future alpha. So, how would I tell you that I got into conversation with the future alpha?” Hesitating a little bit with being a center of attention she answered but then relaxed as soon everybody’s gaze diverted towards me hearing us being the desk partner.

Yes, generally no one sits beside me except Jared and Alaia. It is just that no one dares to sit beside me due to my position in the pack, but it doesn’t mean that they are scared of me. I’ve tried to make them comfortable with me but still, they dare not to. They will smile, talk and help me along with asking for help. Therefore, everyone was surprised hearing the professor making her sit beside me as even never did that in past.

“What? Stop looking so weirdly at me; don’t make them feel like outsiders.” And, then everyone started their running brains, “Whoa, someone doesn’t want to make our guests feel like outsiders.” Alaia started completely telling me that she now got the idea about the may be possible reason.

“What good luck has she earned, aunt? I think we need to ask it from her.” With a teasing glint in their eyes, everyone smiled and decided to work on my words except Misha who is definitely not done with teasing me. I very well know that now the whole pack will sure get to know about it as my family is already aware of it, no they are sure that she is my mate by hearing her words and by my expressions.

“Come on, Harley. You didn’t introduce her to our son formally then how will she realize that the one who is sitting beside is the future alpha of this pack?” I sighed as mom asked her mom which made me released from the attention of others. Being a werewolf, this can be said to be a problematic point because everyone around you can easily figure out what is going on with you if they are close. And, the same just now happened to me which made me face the negative point of being a werewolf.

“Brother, have you thought of how to confess her? How to make her yours because you see she is a human and that too not aware of our kind?” Mind linking the most difficult scenario Alaia put forth her doubts which I have not thought of yet. When I saw her at school I thought she is not eighteen till now due to which she doesn’t know about us being mates but now knowing her being a human is what makes me nervous.

"I don't know, I just got to know with you only that she is a human. I think first I need to get close to her and gain her trust after which only I can ask her mother about what her plans are about making her aware of our kind. I am just scared if she will be able to accept our kind or not." Stating my worries I just exhaled which grabbed dad's attention who patting my shoulder looked at me.

"I know what you are worried about." Smiling, he looked into my eyes and turned his head towards my mate who is now surrounded by others. "Believe me if not because she is your mate but because she is the one you would anything for and attempt on making her yours by love and affection then you will definitely succeed." Giving me the most important and perfect advice he arched his brows up.

Nodding my head I replied to him and smiled as his words gave me the inspiration to woo my girl. To make her feel my love and fall in love with me. Actually, being mates is not enough there must be love between two individuals otherwise the bond would not last long.
