Asher's POV
“Wh-what did you say?” She questioned looking at me with her those beautiful eyes widened. She was speechless as if she was shocked by my words, not able to understand them. I waited for her to get over the shock so that she can hear me clearly but instead she started laughing out loud.
I frowned getting confused, “Why are you laughing?”
Holding her belly she tried to control her laugh and finally after a whole minute she replied, “That was quite a good try to prank on me but for your kind information my poor dear I didn’t fall for it.” With a smile on her lips she said but her were not carrying the always twinkle in them which it had. And, seeing that I got relaxed otherwise for a second, fear took place in my heart of getting rejected.
