Edwards P.O.V. 

She looks at me and says ok honey and I feel my knees go weak. I have never heard a voice so beautiful when she spoke without the fear in her voice it sounded stern but sweet at the same time. Like she could easily command a room. We walk out of the front door of her parent's home and Keagan is waiting at the trunk of the SUV to put Lucy's stuff into it and when I say she has a lot. I had to call my omega Earl to come and get her truck too so that we could get the rest of the stuff. Which there is apparently a lot of. When I told her to pack she did I asked her how she got done so fast to which she replied that her father had movers come in and pack up all of her stuff except what she needed for the day. Just in case she mated and her mate wanted to take her that night and I did. I want to have her next to me at all times instantly. She climbed into the SUV's backseat with me and she had the box I heard her dad say that it was for our mating ceremony. I found it kind of odd but I'm not going to pry every pack has its own ritual when it comes to mating and I'm not going to step on her family traditions.  She is staring out the window. "It will take us about an hour and twenty-five minutes to get back to our territory," I said to Lucy. She looked over at me like she had a million things going on in her mind. She leaned her head back on the window and we drove the rest of the time in silence.

Lucy P.O.V. 

"It will take us about an hour and twenty-five minutes to get back to our territory," Edward said and I looked at him with a smile and put my head back on the window. I had so much going through my head like  "Did I pack everything if I didn't will he allow me to buy what I need, will we share a room or will I have my own. If I'm honest I hope we share a room I just want to be close to him. I have heard that once you are marked that you will want to be next to your mate at all times. But it already felt like that and I wondered if he felt the same way. It seemed like I was being pulled to him already the next thing I knew I was in his lap of my own free will. I blushed and he just held me there I felt like I was home it was intoxicating.  I buried my head into his neck and took in his scent and my body felt like it had sparks erupting everywhere we touched. This must be the feeling my sister had told me about I couldn't believe that it is real. I looked up at Edward and said " Honey can I ask you a question?" that was the first time we had spoke in about an hour so we had to be getting close. "Sure doll anything you want to know I'm an open book when it comes to you." How old are you I know you had a mate before and I know that was a long time ago so I just want to know how old you are" I was rambling he put his finger on my lips so I would stop talking. He looked at me and replied " I am 28 I met Amanda on the night of my 17th birthday and we had a wonderful year together before her ex-fiance killed her. She was actually 25 when I meet her. She hadn't found a mate and her parents had sold her to a rogue named Chad. He was a billionaire before he became a rogue and still had his hands in a lot of pockets because he owned CLab earbud company. The night I met her he was trying to kill her because she had run away. She told me he would beat her into s*x and whatever else he desired. He killed her at the mall when she had slipped her security detail. I felt all of her pain the mate bond severed and almost killed me. I oddly enough don't have a scare for where she marked me it's almost as if I have never been marked." he responded. About that time his beta who I now know is named Keagan stopped the car and said: "We are here alpha." I looked out the window at the most beautiful home I had ever seen it was three stories high. I gasped at the site "is this ours was all I could say?" He looked at me and said, "Yes doll it is yes it is."
