Chapter 20

Lucy's P.O.V.

I walked into Edward's office to see him with what looked like lunch. "Hey Doll, I just got lunch delivered for us while we do the interviews," Edward said. About that time Omega Earl walked into his office and took a seat in front of us. "Hey, Earl how are you doing today? Can you tell us why you would be a good nanny for our boys?" I asked him. 

"Well Luna, I am already around the boys the most they are already comfortable with me. Plus I really want to be as much help as possible. I grew up in a house full of kids my mom actually nannied the Alpha and his brothers with her sisters. There was one nanny to three of them. My father passed away when I was only 4 so I grew up here in the packhouse a lot. I know the ins and outs of this place plus I was told that Mason is like you in that he is a hybrid and I know that he is going to mature faster than his brothers. So he will need special care and I want to be able to provide that for you." Earl answered. 

We both sat there with our mouths opened in shock. "Okay so how would you feel about living with us full time and do you have a mate?" I asked him. "My mate passed away 2 years ago and I would be more than happy to live in your home full time." He replied.  "Okay Earl go out in the hall and wait for us to get finished with the other interviews and I will have you all walk over together," Edward said.

"Next we have a woman named Ashley she is from a neighboring pack she is looking to relocate here and is in need of a job," I told Edward. As she walked I already knew that she was only 18 she had run away from her pack because they abused her and she was treated unfairly by her family. I had already granted her acylium in my way now I just had to get Edward to see that she would make a great nanny. 

"Hey, Ashley let me introduce you to Alpha Edward he is my mate and the father of my children. Now you will only be taking care of our daughters what makes you qualified?" I asked. "Well in my old pack I was made to take care of the Alphas children and cook for the entire pack and clean for them as well. I love children and I have not met my mate yet. In all honesty, I don't believe I have one. And I am okay with that I understand that you have two daughters. May I ask if they are full-blooded werewolves or are they like their brother?" Ashley asked.  "They are full wolves and all we ask is that you take care of our kids nothing extra is necessary.  We would also like for you to live with us full time. And everyone has a mate you just haven't met him yet." Edward responded. "Ashley I can comfortably say that you have the job. Go outside and wait with the man out there his name is Earl he will be one if you staying there full time." I told her. 

"We have a man named Kelvin he is actually recommended by your mother. She said he worked wonders with your youngest bothers." I told him. In walked a man that looked like he was about 30 I know that all of the Jaxson boys were 17 and older. So I wonder when he started with them. 

" Hey Kelvin, how you been it hasn't been that long brother," Edward said. "I have been good you know that since Sebastian turned 15 I enjoyed my little retirement but I am ready to get back to it and I know that you have your hands full with your duties. I remember how it was for your father and it is going to be even more eventful with your Luna being Queen. So I thought I would come to offer my services. And Marie she just sent out little girl off to college so she doesn't have anything going on if you need someone to help with the girls." Kelvin responded. "Well we don't need any live-in nannies but it would help to have you two there during the day," I told him.  I called Marie and told her to meet us at our home at 6 p.m. so that we could let everyone know how to handle the children.  I got off the phone and looked at Edward "Honey I am going to go back to the office I have some more rogues to talk to today."  I gave him a kiss and went to my truck and drove back to my office.

I arrived back at my office at 1:05 p.m. and as soon as I walked in I was met by Felix sitting in my chair.  "Felix if you don't get your ass out of my seat right now and bring in the next rogue," I stated. We went through 15 more of them and they all had to be killed they had been made rogue because of murdering someone in their old packs or killing a human.  He finally walked in with a man who looked to be in his early twenties. He walked in and I told him to sit down he looked like he was just ready to get it over with. 

"Hi, my name is Lucy. Can you tell me exactly what drove you to be a rogue?" I stated. He continued to look at the painting that was on the left wall. Two wolves had red fur and stood tall I knew they were Edward's parents, but they would have never guessed to anyone else. He was refusing to answer me so I got up from my chair and stood in front of him. "You have two choices here either you talk to me or I can just have you killed right now your choice," I told him. He looked at me like I had just told him I didn't give a s**t about him and in actuality I had. He finally looked up at me and started to speak. 

"My name is Andrew Quinn of the White Noise pack out of Seattle, Washington. I was asked to leave when I was seven they blamed me for the rogue attack I still don't know why. My parents died in an attack no one wanted to take me in so I was shunned out. I had no one to help me till I meet Haley and Rebeca they took me under their wing when I was only 8 years old. When Rebeca died I stayed with Haley so that she would have back up and I grew to love them like family. I am 25 years old now and I have always wanted a pack. I had made up my mind that when we had killed the man responsible for Rebaca's death that I was going to find one to call my own. I really don't want to die but that man came and got Haley earlier and I haven't seen her since. Queen Lucy, please don't kill me I can be of help I promise. I will do whatever you need of me." He finally finished. 

"Okay so first things first Haley is still alive she chose to join my personal security pack and you will have the same chance. I need to know what you bring to the table when it comes to the team. I don't ask for anything else you will automatically have a pack here with me and you will live here in this house along with the other wolves in the security pack." I told him. "Okay so I trained with them and I have helped Haley survive for the last three years. I am quiet and I am a hybrid with a fairy I can shrink down if ever necessary. I would love to stay here and be part of your security pack I will do whatever you need of me to stay alive." He responded. 

I have started to get a migraine from all of the new wolves that I can now hear in my head through the mind link. A lot of them have never had the ability to talk through the mind link. So every time I take a new one in their wolves introduce themselves to me and pledge their alliance to me. It has been difficult in most packs only two or three wolves come to age in a month and if they are male then their mates will come in as well. Because females always move to their mate's pack.  "Felix, can you come in here please?"  I requested. He walked in looked at me "How can I be of assistants Lucy?" he asked. "I am going to take the rest of the day off. I have reached my limit for the day we will pick back up tomorrow." I replied and walked out of my office.
