The moment that question escaped from my lips, a scream erupted from Arthur's wife. Her scream made my ear ache a bit, and I'm just trying so hard not to cover them in front of everyone. I can feel his family's heavy glares, and if looks can kill, I would have been rotting by now.
"He's a liar!" his wife shouted again while pointing to the guard beside me. "You didn't even investigate properly!" her eyes shot towards my direction. It felt as if she was trying to kill me with her glares. Unfortunately for her, that wouldn't work. "I'm sure you staged everything! There's no way my husband will try to kill a pack member!"
