CHAPTER SIX

Audrey and Jaxon were busy kissing without noticing the presence of a third person in the room with Audrey straddling Jax. "Jax! I can't believe this"Marie said in disgust. "Marie what are you doing here?" Audrey asked glaring at Marie as she got off Jaxon's laps. "How could you do this to my best friend,your sister?"

"Stepsister and Jax loves me not that w***e you call a friend" audrey said looking at Jax to back her up. Jax got the message she was sending with her eyes and stood up holding her waist. "She is right,I never loved your friend"

"If you don't love Reign then why are you keeping her?"

" What are you talking about?"Jaxon asked but he knew what Marie was talking about. "Where have you kept her give me back my friend"she said glaring at the two disgusting people Infront of her. "Hey stop pestering my boyfriend"Audrey stepped in because she knew that Jax may let the cat of the bag with the pressure Marie was giving him. "Go look for your w***e best friend elsewhere because we haven't seen her now leave "she pushed Marie out and closed the door with a bang. She never liked her because she was always annoying.

Marie was so devastated,she had not seen her friend for the past two weeks now. She filed a case of a missing person but the police has not yet contacted her. She was not going to give up,she had to find her best friend.

Reign was already feeling bored since she had nothing to entertain her,she was lying on the bed facing the ceiling when the door open and a girl in her late twenties walked in. "Good morning ma'am"she greeted. "Sir Roman had sent this for you"she said handing Reign a bag. She took the bag and the young maid left, Reign opened the bag and inside it was a brand new iphone 14 pro max and an apple MacBook. There was also a letter attached to the laptop.

I know that being without a phone can be so boring for ladies so I got you a new phone,all your contacts from your old phone are in there. You are also free to go out but with your guards

Roman

Reign was over the moon were she read what Roman wrote. She ran to the bathroom to freshen up,she got out and put on a black off-shoulder dress with a denim jacket and white Snickers. She did a light makeup and tied her hair in o ponytail. She got downstairs and found the two men who found first brought her here. "Good afternoon ma'am ,am Desmond" scar face introduce himself. "And this is this is Mark,we are your personal bodyguards"he continued. "And I'm Reign"she said smiling . They went to the car and opened the door for Reign.

Marie was watching a movie on Netflix when the doorbell rang. "Who could that be ? "She asked herself,she put on a robe because she only had her bra and panties on and went to tlopen the door. Reign was patiently standing at the door waiting for her friend to open the door because Marie was so slow. Reign could have called her but she wanted to surprise her,she really missed her. Marie opened the door and was surprised to see her best friend standing at her door looking safe and more beautiful.

"Oh my God Reign"she said hugging her, "thank goodness you are okay I was so worried when you disappeared all over sudden"

"Won't you welcome me in?" She asked. "Am sorry my bad please come in" Reign got in leaving her bodyguards outside at the door guarding it. They were very vigilant because if anything happens to Reign, Roman would kill them, revive them and then kill them again. Reign was the first woman that made Roman so crazy.

Reign sat on the couch with her legs can crossed and took Marie's popcorn. "Now tell me where you were and that is out were safe"

"I've been traveling"she lied. "Tell me about this guy and I mean everything don't you dare leave anything out" Marie said and Reign rolled her eyes. "Can't I hide anything from you without you finding out?" She asked laughing,she felt good. She hadn't laugu for the past three days. "Okay he's a big guy and he treats me well that's all" Reign said hoping that Marie would drop the topic. "Tell me when and where you met" Marie was curious to know about this guy her best friend was dating. "We met a year ago at the mall and since then he had been pursuing me. At first I didn't want anything to do with him but later I gave him a chance and he took me to Italy where have been for the past three days" Reign lied,she felt bad for lying to her friend but she had too because she didn't want her to be worried for her. "That's cool,what about Jax do you still love him?"

"Yeah I still love him,he is my first love"

Marie felt like struggling Reign but it wasn't her fault,she didn't know anything. Marie decided not to tell her anything because she didn't want to ruin her happiness.

The two friends spent the whole day together,Marie made lunch and they ate together just like the old times. "So when are we meeting again?" Marie asked feeling sad,she didn't know when they would meet again. "Very soon don't worry I'll text you"Reign say d and hugged her best friend. Marie accompanied Reign to her car. Reign hugged her friend for the last time and got in the car. Marie watched her friends car disappear down the road and felt tears prick her eyes,she quickly blinked them away and went back inside to continue watching her movie.

"Ma'am do you want to go anywhere else?" Desmond asked. "Yeah ,take me to my old house I need to talk to Audrey" she said and laid her head back on the seat and closed her eyes,she didn't know how she was going to approach Audrey without any fight,she was still weak and didn't have energy to argue. The car pulled up Infront of her old apartment, she took her before she got down from the car. She walked up the stairs with her bodyguards trailing behind her.

She got out to the door and opened it since it wasn't locked. Clothes were piled on the floor which wasn't surprising because it was typical of Audrey to bring men home but looking at the shirt,it looked like the one she gifted Jax on his birthday. She picked the shirt and it smelled like Jax,she heard moans coming from Audrey's room. She wasn't the nosy type but she was suspicious of the shirt,she stood at the door ready to open it but had one prayer that the man shouldn't be Jax. She opened the day door and felt her heart shutter in a thousand pieces. She knew it was Jax because of the tattoo on his back. "Jax!"she called out,Jax turned and his eyes I iden when he saw Reign standing at tu door for with his shirt in her hands. He got off Audrey and wrapped a towel around his waist while Audrey wrapped in he sheets around her and smirked at Reign. "How could you do this to me Jax?"

"Reign listen to me,it's not what you think"Jax said moving close to Reign,he was about to hold her hand but Reign moved backed. "Don't have touch me with those filthy hands of yours. I was so stupid how to love such a person like you" Reign said with disgust, " carry in with what you were doing"with that she turned and left the room,she felt like her world was crumbling down. Jax was the only thing she was left with Audrey took that away too. She was about to get into to the car when her hand was held,she was urned and saw Jax. "Babe listen to me I can explain" Reign pulled her hand out of his grip and pushed him away from her,he was about to reach for Reign again but Desmond and Mark blocked his way. Jax felt intimidated and moved back. Mark opened the door for Reign and she got in, Mark closed her he door and went to o his side. Reign got home and went straight to the room,she fell on the bed face first and let her tears flow freely. She had been through so much with the guy.
