Lane woke late the next morning. He could hear the wind outside but the location of their little shelter was evidently perfect. The tarp was stretched very tight and away from the wind, therefore, making very little noise, even though the wind could be heard easily blowing through the tree tops. As he was waking up he realized he had extra weight on his arm and shoulder. He also could feel Anna"s body pressed up against him. He jerked his eyes open in realization, not knowing for sure how to react. Anna"s head was on his arm and back against his shoulder and the rest of her body was pushed back against him.
