Lane road up a small trail for at least four hours before intercepting the main trail which they had driven the cattle up the year before. He turned and headed on up to the upper Valley which was not more than another hour"s ride before opening up into the mountain pastors.
There he stopped and studied the area trying to remember where the small camping areas were located which he had been able to see from above. It was beautiful up here and he knew he was going to have more trouble leaving this time than before.
If not for Ellen he wouldn"t, and the next question on his mind was why Anna had acted as she had. As if she had no intentions of him leaving.
