Lost cause

Sierra wiped her tears on her sweatshirt as she threw her miniatures collection in the bin. She couldn't bring herself to cry any longer as she nearly spent all her energy sobbing like a newborn child the previous night. She finally snatched up a tissue from the washroom,wiped up her nose tossed the tissue into the bin in the corner and with a determined sigh picked up the suitcase. "ok,get yourself together Sierra cus this suitcase ain't gonna fill itself"she said out loud trying to coax herself to pack up her clothes. Her eyes landed on a half broken picture frame lying on the ground,which had fallen there during her earlier breakdown.Then, she burst down again.. "I'm gonna pack,I'm gonna pack" she said in a half dazed voice. She had managed to pack all her fav tees and undergarments when someone knocked on the door. "May I come in sweetie?"Pauline, Sierra's mom asked as she popped her head in through the door to get a full scan of the messed up room. "Nope" Sierra said without turning her head. Her mom smiled at her cranky mood but she didn't insist to be let inside.She closed the door and went back down where she herself had her own little meltdown area. she pulled a chair out of the dining table and put her head in her hands. She had always known that Sierra would not take her decision in a good way but she had thought about it for days and would not go back on it. Sierra's dad had lost his job and was so depressed that not even his favourite daughter could get him out of it.He though only resolved to thinking about one thing,getting a divorce because he let his emotions come first.He didn't want his fav daughter,Sierra see him in such a bad state and having made up an excuse that he would go on a year long overseas work trip, had hugged her goodbye and had left the place without a second thought. Now after finding out about the truth merely a week back, Sierra had lost her mind on the fact that her father had left.Her father, had left her and all the memories they had together. She wept and wept but couldn't do anything more and having given the idea that her parents had kept such a big secret from her,she was no source of comfort. The only thing she could do now was pack her memories in a suitcase or more and head off to a place which she had to call home..
