Cutting the Green String (Step-Siblings Relationship)

“I’m going out.”   I was in the midst of  watching my favorite Netflix series,  when my mom came back home. Nawalan na ako ng gana, so I turned the tv off.   She brought several grocery bags, pero my attention diverted to the guy beside him. I smiled at them sarcastically.    Now my mood is totally ruined. Bakit ba kasi ako rito sa living room nagpalipas ng oras?   “Sa’n ka na naman pupunta?” My mom asked in her usual annoying voice when she noticed me walking out, without greeting them formally.. I just rolled my eyes on her. Without answering, I walked out.   Ayoko siyang makita, at mas lalo na yung lalaki niya. I know that I’m too rude, pero sana nirespect niya muna yung prescence ko.   I don’t want a stepfather!    I needed to clear my clouded mind, so I decided to spend my night outside the house. May nakapasok na naman kasing hindi kaaya-aya rito sa bahay. How I wish to live this house.   Paglabas ko ng kwarto, hindi ko na nakita sina mommy. For sure, nasa kwarto na naman sila at may ginagawang kababalaghan. I shook my head to erase the thought of my mom, doing it with that guy. Umalis nalang ako ng bahay and drove my car to my favorite nightclub.   I stayed in my car after I arrived. I must contact my friends’ first, para mas masaya. Although I can manage my own, isn't it a club for partying?   While I’m on the phone with Jarelle—my best friend, I started roaming my eyes to look for a hot guy tonight. I kept on watching people who went in at the club.   Luckily, may nakita akong naka maroon na polo shirt with his pants on. He looks so tall, well-built and f*****g handsome. I smiled at my thoughts. First prospect for this night is already checked. After several minutes of waiting inside the club, dumating na rin sina Xavier and Xander. They are my guy friends, and yes! They are twins. Cool right? “Yow Krylle!” Xavier greeted me with a huge smile on his face. Lumapit naman ako sakaniya at bineso siya.  “Hi Xave,” I said in response. Then I switched my gaze to Xander. I was about to make beso rin sakaniya, but he was so awkward that I only got to smile at him. “Hi Xander,” I didn’t look at him so much because he seems a little distant to me. Siguro, ayaw niya sa ugali ko?I really don’t know. I’m just a w***e afterall. Good thing, whenever I invite Xavier, Xander always come. Para kasi silang buy one take one package, since they’re twins.   “Wow! Ang galante mo ngayon ah, daming drinks!” Sabi sa’kin ni Xavier habang tinitingnan ang mga inorder kong drinks. Marami talaga akong kinuha, and it’s because I was planning to get wasted tonight. Though, not too wasted to the point na guys won’t be attracted to me anymore. Ofcourse, I need to feel someone's body tonight. Hindi lang pwedeng si mommy ang makaranas non ngayong gabi.    Maybe I am a rebel. I don’t care. I just hate my life.   “Of course! Drink at your heart’s content,” I excitedly told them. We started drinking without my best friend. I really don’t know if she’ll come or not since she’s not in the mood to make noise when I called her. Pero,she said naman na pupunta siya. I’ll just wait for her nalang. I still have to get a guy tonight! “Uyy mata mo, kung saan-saan nakatigin,” Puna saakin ni Xavier, probably knowing that I’m looking for someone. Sanay naman yata silang every clubbing night akong may lalaki eh. It is a normal thing for me. Luckily, they don’t get in my way.   “Naghahanap ako ng guy, ano ba.” I commented. Napatawa naman si Xavier sa pagiging too open ko. While Xander’s filling up our shot glass. “Andito naman kami, naghahanap ka pa?” He playfully said. “Ayaw mo no’n, threesome tayo? Sige, isali mo na rin si Jarelle para foursome!” Dagdag pa nito. Hinampas ko naman agad siya sa braso habang tawang-tawa siya. This is how he teases me. Sinamaan ko naman siya ng tingin, “Kadiri ka talaga, Xavier!” Then I shake my body in disgust. Mas lalo naman siyang natawa sa ginawa ko. After minutes of teasing and drinking with the twins, dumating na rin si Jarelle. “Finally pumunta ka na!” Sabi ni Xavier rito. Inabutan naman siya ni Xander ng shot glass na ikinainis niya. I remember her telling me earlier na hindi raw siya magpapakalasing. But after se saw a man on the other table, nagsimula na siyang lagukin ang tequila.  Jarelle looks so pissed lalo pa’t pinag-iinitan siya ng dalawa. I decided to take her on the dance floor with me instead. Pumayag naman siya agad. I was keeping my eye on her, but a lot of guys are pulling me to dance with them. I ended up dancing with several guys. Some offered me drinks, and some challenged me to do the ‘5 seconds walang malisya’ thing. Of course I couldn’t be a kj here. I was with a guy when I heard that Jarelle made commotion on the other table. I immediately ditched the guy, hindi ko rin naman kasi siya masyadong bet, before going to Jarelle. When I arrived, she had already passed out. I almost panicked, buti na lang at nasalo siya nung lalaking kanina pa niya pinagseselosan.  Pero mas ikinagulat ko nang biglang sinuntok nung lalaki ni Jarelle yung naka maroon polo guy na kanina ko pa hinahanap. What the hell? He was with Jarelle? Umalis na si Jarelle habang yung naka maroon na lalaki ay nagwalk-out. I saw blood coming from his lips. Nagkamali kasi siya ng nilapitan. He should be with me instead of Jarelle. Kung hindi ko sana hinayaang magkahiwalay kami ni Jarelle, he wouldn’t be with that uy. And that guy wouldn't be punched. So I guess, part of it was my fault. Lumapit agad ako sa maroon guy. He looked at me for a moment, before checking me out. I got the vibe of a playboy! “Hey sexy,” He said while smirking. But I was too distracted by the blood on his lips. He looks so handsome, but someone he ruined his face.  I unconsciously touched his lips, so he got confused by me. “What are you doing?” He asked me with a hint of irritation. Na-weirdan ata siya sa ginawa ko. “I wanted to kiss you, but there’s blood in your mouth.” He looked amused by what I told him. Then he smiled at me showing his willingness. “Don’t you think it’ll be more exciting?” That’s the first sentence I told him. The first conversation we had. I clearly show that I was fancying him. He distinctly knew that we would end up in the same bed that night. But that was also my biggest regret right now. “This is your sister from me, Karylle.”  I hope I didn’t see him that night… “And Karylle, this is your brother, Maui,” I wish I didn’t follow him that night… “Treat each other well, okay?”  So I wouldn’t have to face this biggest humiliation in my life. “We will become a real family.”  I’m so f*****g done.
