Chapter 5

800 Words
I walk alone going to the school cafeteria. It’s already lunch and I am starving. Walking straight to an empty table after getting my food, tired from patiently following the line of students. “Hey, watch where you’re going,” said a voice from the side of the table where I sit. From the tone of the voice, I can tell it’s Ms. Jones. “I’m sorry queen.” I rolled my eyes upon hearing that word. Why does everybody address her as such? It’s not like they really live in a fairytale world. The fairytale queen just smirked and walked, ignoring the girl behind her. The other royals including Alquette followed their queen. This kind of b***h never really cease to exist at any school. Back at New York, there’s also this girl who always messes with weaker girls. She just love to mess around. I imagine how would they react if it would be them getting bullied, it will be so good to watch. But I just shrug the thought and focused to my food. “Hey, I’m sure you wouldn’t mind me sitting here, would you?” Out of nowhere while I am enjoying my food, an annoying person appears in front of me. “Even if I say no, you’re sitting already.” I bluntly replied. This asshole here has been bugging me since last week. “Oh I’m sure you like it.” “You mean me getting annoyed everytime you show up your face in front of me.” I said finishing my food. He just laughed at my sarcasm. “This face in front of you is precious to those girls.” He boasts, pointing a dreamy group of girls from behind. “Well, I’m not one of them.” I bluntly said. “You should consider yourself lucky, Ms. Messy eater.” He reaches for me but I quickly avoided it and cleaned my face. “Asshole.” Somewhere the cafeteria, there is a high-pitched scream. I turned my head to find where it is and my eyes found a girl lying on the floor with spaghetti on her shoulder. The tray is beside her, I thought she just fell but I quickly learned she was pushed when my eyes spotted Ms. Jones with an evil grin on her face. “Kristel! That’s too much!” Alquette screamed at her. “Oh shut up girl, your always against me,” Kristel as Alquette called her replied. Kristel then walked closer to the girl on the floor and grabbed her hair. “Don’t ever dare say that again bitch.” “Y-y-yes, queen.” “You know what, I will accept that. But since I am pissed, I am not satisfied.” She said and motioned the other royalties. “Nefa, don’t.” Alquette looks at the other girls bit they still grabbed the girl on the floor and hold her on her hands. They are getting too far and I am not taking it. I stand from my seat, carrying the tray in my hands and walked silently to the sink. After putting the tray in the sink, I walked closer to the commotion. All the students around the cafeteria seem to ignore what is happening. “You know your kind can be really annoying,” I said calmly that makes Kristel turn her head to me. “And who do you think you are?” she asks. “An annoyed one. For a person being addressed as queen, you sure is not good to your subjects.” I blankly said. “What are you going to do about that? You can’t do anything.” “And queens like that should be stripped off of their power.” Then I walked closer to her, looking at her eyes calmly. I gave myself an applause when she’s moving backwards. When I am close enough, I gave her a slap on her right cheek. “How dare you!” “A queen who only wears a crown for jewelry should be at a mall store.” I said with a smirk and went to help the girl she’s bullying. I removed the spaghetti from her shoulders and combed the hair covering her face. “Are you playing hero right now?” Kristel said after recovering from the slap I gave her. “Hero is a big word. I prefer lending a hand.” Leaving them behind with the girl heading to the clinic. “You okay?” I asked her. “Yeah, thanks. I’m Charise,” she replied.
