My mood today is better than the past few days. I already know what will keep me busy and thrilled in this town. I got into the mission!
“Good morning Charise,” I greeted her when I saw her at the room.
The class haven’t started yet.
“Wow, you’re in a good mood!” She exclaimed.
She’s staring at her phone, Scrolling on social media which reminds me of my friends at New York. I made a mental note to talk to them later.
I breath in and exhaled heavily. Then I took my notebook from my bag to read our recent discussion on history.
“You look more beautiful wearing a smile,” I suddenly stopped reading as I recognize the voice. My smile slowly turned into a frown. Even Charise is surprised to see them in my class.
“Seems like your lost. Your room is at the second floor.” I said.
He approached our sit and went to my back. Placing his arms on the back of the chair. He is too close.
“I’m sure I walked in to my new classroom,” he stressed the word new. Way to ruin my mood. He must have asked his aunt for a transfer.
He leaned closer to me, close that I can feel his breath to my hair. He inhaled, smelling my hair.
Moving fast, I put my arms at his neck as I stand from my sit. Clenching my fist, he made a struggling sound. I smirked.
“You know it was not a good choice to provoke me, ‘boy’.” It was my turn to emphasize the word.
I heard gasps in the room. Most of my classmates are now sitting on their own respective sits. There were faces missing, but I realized they were exchanged to the other section because Tredon’s friends are sitting on their sits.
I loosed my grip on Tredon’s neck, but still kept a little pressure. His friends look like they were relieved seeing that I loosened the grip.
“I’m sorry.”
Upon hearing his apology, I removed my hands on his neck. I don’t want to catch more attention.
“You’re so fast, where did you learn that?” he said holding his neck. The trace of my hands still visible.
“Self defense class at New York.” I replied and sat down. I saw Ms. Moore approaching the door.
My classmates immediately removed their sight from me and sat properly to greet our teacher. All of them, except the queen. She has fire in her eyes, glaring at me.
The class began. We have a project due next week. Ms. Moore assigned pairs for everybody and unluckily, I’m paired to Tredon. Now not only fire were being thrown to me because Kristel killed me in her mind upon hearing Ms. Moore’s announcement.
