The next day my mother instructed me to come home as soon as we’re dismissed. We are going to talk about how will I do my part of the mission.
For my history class, Ms. Moore allowed us to talk about our project with our pair. Each pairs are seated together so they could talk easily.
“So, what to do?” I ask Tredon who’s drawing on a piece of paper.
A sketch or his own idea about the topic. Every pairs are tasked to do a poster about nationalism, and we are going to present it when it’s done.
Since Tredon is trying to come up with a concept for our project, I just sit down and continue doodling on my paper. As I scribble the word empress, I remember what Alquette told me and the things I have figured out.
Primrose Roberts. The name rings in my head. I thought it was just a mystery that needs to be solved. But I am actually drawn to it.
“Tredon, you say you know the meeting place of that girl and boy in the stories.” I asked suddenly.
He stopped writing. Put the pen down and looked at me. Trying to figure out if I’m joking.
“Why do you look at me like that?”
“Are you really starting a conversation with me?” he’s confused, more like couldn’t believe it.
“Yes, now answer me!” I demanded.
“I am the principal’s nephew. Of course I know.” He’s smiling widely.
“Can you take me there?” I whispered. I don’t want anyone to hear it.
“Sure. When do you like to go?” He understand why I whispered because he’s also whispering right now.
“I’ll tell you later.” The ring bell, making my classmates prepare for the next class.
“Okay,” he replied and winked at me.
Charise is already approaching. She probably might think that I’ve given Tredon a chance because of her smile.
Tredon get his things and walked to his own chair.
“Getting along?” Charise said as soon as she’s near me.
“No.” I denied. Yes it was me who first talk to him because when he came to sit with me, he hasn’t said a word. I was actually expecting him to pester me but he didn’t. Then, he began sketching.
“Don’t deny it.” Charise laughed like crazy but acted normal as soon as she saw me giving her a deathly glare.
