Mate

*Chance POV*

There landed six dead rouges. Throats slashed and nearly torn completely apart. These rouges think they could attack me and survive. I chuckled at how idiotic they were. I glanced around, looking at my men fighting killing rouges left and right. Just then I was mind-linked that elder leaders from the pack had arrived on the far east of the borders and said that some rouges had broken through and that there was possibly someone still inside the homes. Geri darted in that direction not knowing if the pack members were safe. It's my job to keep them safe. So I must make it there on time. Just then I see Elder Gamma Lola and Max fighting two rouges. I ran as fast as I could and attacked just as one of the rouges almost had Lola by the throat. The rouge who was lunged into the air and slammed into a tree died on impact. The other dropped dead by Max snapping his neck. Both bowed their heads as I asked if they were ok and knew of the other members still I'm the home. They both looked at each other and then back at me. I told them to talk to me because they said attacked few rouges broke through and were heading that way. Just then Lola's face went white and she and Max darted in that direction. I followed and asked what was going on. I have known of Max and Lola for many years as they served before my parents' time. When they retired both got a home outside of the village, they never had kids and just lived their life day by day. Yet when Lola said my daughter, her words shocked me. I didn't question them yet ran fast passed them. Yet the smell hit me. How did I not smell it till now? Her scent. It's here. Her scent was coming from Lola and Max. I couldn't smell it because of the rouge awful smell yet now I can. I wanted to stop but knowing that Lola's daughter was in trouble I had to reach her. The pain killed me as I ran faster away from them knowing my mate might have been in the direction of the rouges that broke through. Geri growled at the thought and Freki was coming through, wanting to come out. Both wanted to protect their mate and kill all who would harm her. The smell of her scent became thicker as we came closer to Lola's and Max's home. I saw as I got closer a rouge about to enter in. While still in Geri form, I lunged his attack catching the rouge off guard. He screamed in horror as Geri ripped open his back. Geri then snapped the neck as the man gurgled out his scream and then died. Geri then walked into the house covered in blood. I could hear the muffled screams and constant thrusting of something or someone hitting the floor. Her scent flooded the house. She was here. Geri's eyes opened wide knowing that our mate was in trouble. Geri ran through the house till we saw a man hovering in a walk-in closet and a young woman was lying on the floor, her beauty shined. Her face was scared and in tears. Her mouth was being filled with a piece of cloth to stop her from screaming. Her hands were being held up by one of his hands as his other was touching her skin. Geri didn't hesitate to yank him off of her. Both Wolves growled in anger and the rouge tried to turn. He was not like the other weak bastard. Yet what he didn't know was that Freki had shifted out as well and was coming up behind the now-shifted rouge. Everything happened so fast but the rouge was torn in two. I told Geri and Freki to shift bad ad much as it pained them they didn't want to scare her. Lola and Max had just got in scared in horror by what they had just seen. I looked at them and linked not to tell others and to get rid of that piece of s**t rouges. Max lent me some shorts I put them on and hurried back to my mate. She was there shivering in fear. I reached out but she perked away. Thus shattering our hearts from the rejection. I reached out again seeing this skinny, woman torn clothes, face covered in tears. I pulled her into my arms as she passed out. My body went into sparks as every touch tingled. "Mate" was being screamed in my head over and over. I hushed them so as not to wake our poor mate. As I carried out the closet Lola who had just rushed back in, was shocked and in tears as they saw her appearance. "Let's take her to the pack doctor, Bring your vehicle around. it's faster than calling someone. Max link out and make sure the others are good have Loki take the lead from there," I said as I kissed the top of my mate's head. Anger filled my body, I wanted to go back and tear that rouge up more, but my mate needed me. Mate the sounds flowed out of my mouth and brought hope into my heart. "Who would have thought I would have finally found her? Who is she? Where did she come from?" The thoughts flowed through my head as Lola pulled up and jumped out of the van to open it up. I stepped in and didn't release her from my arms. Lola watched me wondering why I was like this. The drive was quiet for a few minutes before LolaL spoke. "Alpha, I will take whatever punishment you have for me, but please do not hurt her. It was I would bring her into our Pack and get her help. I am sorry for not reporting it soon. She has been through so much, and she needed time to get better," she said with a fierce voice. I could see her eyes shift into the mirror to see me looking back at her. "We will discuss that later, but for now, tell me, who is she," I said in a soft voice as I looked down at her. "Alpha, I dare not want to anger you more, but her story is not mine to tell, but I I tell you this. She is a rouge, she came from a pack who rejected her. They abused her for what seemed like her whole life. She came to us barely alive. I took it upon myself to get her the help she needed, brought her back home, and called her my daughter. forgive me, Alpha. She has just been through too much," she said as she looked at me with tearful eyes. "I understand," I said as I looked upon her face. My hand held her head, as I tried to put pressure on it. We were getting near the hospital. Loki had already made a call to have the hospital ready for our arrival. As we pulled up to the hospital there stood two doctors and four nurses ready with equipment. My mate looked so small in my arms. I wondered why her wolf hadn't healed her yet. Geri and Freki said they couldn't hear her wolf's voice either. As the door flew open I stepped out. The doctor seemed to already know of her as he called out: Female, 18, blood type AB negative, weight 110lbs. They went over the visible wound on the back of her head and began to put gauze and wrap it up. Just then as they put the EKG, her heartbeat began to fail. I watched as her hand fell off the bed as they took her away. My body dropped to my knees and tears flowed down my face. I could hear as Lola began to cry. My wolves began to howl out for their mate whose heart just stopped. I stood up in seconds I was at the front desk. " THE WOMAN WHO JUST CAME IN, DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO SAVE HER LIFE. PUT EVERYTHING UNDER MY ACCOUNT. KEEP ME INFORMED OF ANY UPDATES!" I screamed out before realizing that the receptionist was standing there scared. I let out a cough and said "Please excuse me for my rudeness, do what I asked of please, and thank you." "Yes, Alpha," she said and she bowed her head and began to type and made a phone call. Just then Max and Loki walked in. Lola ran to Max crying. Our eyes met and hurt filled his eyes. Loki walked to me and placed his hand on my shoulder. "Alpha, what is going on," said Loki with concern. "As of right now, I want to keep this between us four. That woman is my mate. Am I gonna lose her," I said as my knees buckled and I fell to the floor. " "Alpha" was screamed out by the three of them.
