Moonstone Alpha

*Unknown POV* I woke up again with thoughts of my dream flowing through my mind. Every day, I feel more and more drained, as if my soul was being sucked away from me. My body ached from getting up out of my bed. I walked to the bathroom and turned on the shower fully hot. I hate how I feel. I felt like this every day for as long as I can remember. Hot showers seem to ease it and get me through the day. After my hot shower and getting dressed, I made my way down to the gathering in the meeting room. I can hear the chatter of men stop as I enter the room. All eyes shifted to me. "Good morning gentlemen, let's start with the border control," I said in a deep voice. "Good morning, Alpha Chance. We had a crossing of a lone rouge. The rouge was badly injured and is now in recovery at the hospital. We also know that Flower Stone had a rouge attack a few days ago. They lost 7 of their members and started preparing the damage left by the rouges." I looked upon the men around the table. "We've been having many random rouge attacks in all the surrounding packs lately, but we can't seem to pinpoint the next attack or be there to help. Have we found out anything about who could be possibly doing this," I said in a very annoyed voice. "Alpha Chance, I believe that we found that they attack only at night. No trace is left of them. They don't take anything, just attack, kill as many as they can, and leave before being stopped," said my beta Loki. "Let's send out 5 of our warriors to each pack and have them stand guard. Let's see if we can catch these rouges and destroy them before they kill again. How are the arrangements with the other packs going? I said. "Alpha, we have got confirmed orders from the other packs except from Red Stone. We have enough supplies to last us through the harsh winters, and in case we go into war with the rouges again." Roan, my Omga said. "Give the packs who follow the contracts extra supplies they need. As for Red Stone, I will need some investigation into why they have not been following their contract with us. I think it is about time to pay a visit, don't you think, Loki," he said with an evil smirk. Loki smirks back. "Yes, Alpha." I sigh from the thoughts of what is becoming of my pack. As the leader of the Moon Stone Pack, I must hold order and justice. My parents are the Emperor and Empress of all packs. They live within the Moon Stone. They take care of the meetings with other packs and events that are held, while I take care of our pack and do the dirty work. We have contracts with all packs for trading supplies. We have the largest warrior group, and we also supply money throughout the packs to keep business flowing. When a pack decides not to follow through, we have to correct the situation and remind them who is in charge. If not, we become an all-girl war within the packs, and many lives are lost. We ended the meeting after going over who would be left out and when they would switch out. Even though our Pack has many warriors. Warriors have families, and coming back to see their families means a lot to us. Here in our packs, we treat each other with respect. We are more of a family than anything. We dine with our warriors and even the maids and butlers who serve us. Even though I rank higher, we don't look down on others. However, other packs fail to follow those rules. An Alpha doesn't just protect his pack but treats his pack like its family. Luna should love everyone in her pack and show grace to them. Yet rumors of a few packs have been floating around, so I need to pay visits to these packs and put them in check. Once an Alpha decides to break from tradition, they can become someone who starts wars. So it needs to be nipped. I'm the butt. I go to the kitchen where Lilly, our headmaid, has cooked my favorite breakfast. Three over medium eggs, a piece of medium rare steak with home-style potatoes, and a cup of hot tea ready for me. Lilly is a sweet old lady who makes the best food she has been in our household for so long. She has always made me the same breakfast every day for the last 2 years. She is slowly forgetting things, but I don't have the heart to let her go, so I will keep enjoying her cooking. Knowing that sooner or later, she will leave this world, I will cherish the time I have left with her. We had a small talk as I finished the meal before me. She smiles and sends me off as I head out to patrol our pack. After breakfast, I patrolled the pack, taking in what was discussed at the meeting. We have a lone rogue wolf. I wonder if he was a part of the rouge attacks. I started to head my way to the hospital when Loki's mind linked to me that he had the car ready to head out to Red Stone Pack. The trip was long, and yet it's always good to get out of the pack and see the other packs. I know soon my mother is going to hold another event where all single females and all high ranks come to converse with each other. It's all for me to find my mate. I have two more events before she will find me a matched mate instead of a true mate. A true mate is something the Moon goddess bestows upon you. Everything about your mate enhances the smell, the touch, and the way they make you feel. They are very opposite of who you are and yet a perfect match. When I turned 16, I thought that I would find her, yet as the years passed, it became more unlikely. A higher-ranked Alpha turns earlier than the others. This way, we train sooner and prepare to take over the pack once we hit 18. Yet if, by the age of 20, I haven't found my mate, my mother will find one for me, and that doesn't sit well with me. I know she is out there somewhere waiting for me. We reached the pack that looked slightly run down and a lot smaller than my pack house. I can tell things have looked wrong from the start. Stepping out, I was hit by a very faint smell of lavender. It was overwhelming for me. I stood there as Loki looked at me. "Alpha, you are OK,". "No, I'm not," I said as I snarled my words. "Why is it that my mate's smell is faint, yet a small hint of iron is also there? Loki looked at me as he saw me struggling to hold back my wolves. What happens next could start a war. I needed to get to the bottom of this because my wolves were about to tear this pack apart, looking for her. Yes, when I say wolves I mean two. I am the first to have two wolves. Geri and Freki. The only ones who know of me having two are my parents, my Beta, and Omega. The only thing we found out about my wolves was from the Norse book "Viking Myths". Geri and Freki were two wolves who accompanied Odin, often depicted as his loyal companions. The names of these wolves meant “the greedy” and “the ravenous,” respectively, emphasizing their fierce nature and insatiable hunger. Which fits perfectly with who they are. Yet when I change into, my wolf, it is only one wolf. 9ft. Solid black flur, with three thin red streaks down my back with blood-red eyes. Nothing else was found about them other than they were killed by another wolf. While my parents keep searching for answers, I have been taking over the Pack and finding my mate. Now that she is near, I must find where. Yet first I need to meet with the Alpha and Luna of this pack. We are greeted by what smells like the Omega of the pack. Loki can sense I am disgusted by the lack of respect the pack is already showing. As I reach the pack house, her scent becomes overwhelming to my wolves. "The boys", as I call them, are going crazy with excitement, looking forward to finally meeting the one thing we truly desire. "Greetings Alpha Chance for being here,. What brings you to Red Stone," said Alpha Steven. "Alpha Steven, let's go inside and discuss the reason I am here", I said in a stern voice, which took Alpha Steven by surprise.
