Paul Edie looked at me with those big green eyes like a deer in the headlights. Her mouth opened to say something, but she quickly shut it. She didn't know how to react or think. I could see the wheels turning in her head as she looked at me in disbelief. "I-I… I have to leave." Stammering over her words, she moved sideways like a crab, heading in the direction of the door.
