I sat in my condo Saturday morning in a mental fog, waiting, trying like f**k to keep my thoughts off Levi going after Lily and the painful longing wracking through my body.
Once the news broke, Mr. Astbury and Pastor Welker would be the two elders of the church to visit me. Being the spiritual ones, they would approach the transgressor like the Bible commanded in Galatians. But I didn’t expect they would come with mercy to restore me in a spirit of gentleness like God’s word commanded.
Even if my actions hadn’t ruined Lily’s dream wedding which I wondered over with how Levi lit after her, Mr. Astbury would demand my resignation which I wouldn’t be able to get out of.
