Standing at the entrance of the high school Meg realized Ellie was wrong, and her pessimism had been totally correct. The school was swarming with strangers and she wasn't exactly enjoying the 'New girl' looks they were giving her. Ellen had been so excited that as soon as she got the schedule and map to her classes she waved a beaming goodbye to Meg and darted down the hallway. Not making any attempts to hide her smile as she made heads turn. Taking in a deep breath Meg looked down at the map in her hand. She thought that it was a small mercy that her first class wasn't too far. She had barely turned in the direction when someone yanked her backpack making her abruptly stop. "What the....?"Her words died in her throat and her jaw hit the floor when she saw a familiar face smiling at her, Lisa It had been so many years since she had last seen her face but it was no denying that her best friend was right standing in front of her. "Gosh! Meg, I never expected to see you here !!"The blonde girl was jumping up and down with excitement "I'm really happy to see you" She threw her arms around Meg who was still sort of dumbstruck What were the odds that she would find her once best friend here? Grinning she hugged her back. Maybe this school isn't as bad. "So how are you liking Arville high?"Lisa asked pulling back from the hug her blue eyes still shining with excitement. "I guess it's not so bad after all" Meg grinned Lisa laughed and it was a sort of a contagious thing. Perky behavior and a friendly air around herself , Lisa had always been this way and Meg was glad it hadn't changed. "You'll have to meet my friends they are really cool, You know " She stated eagerly and then looking down at the papers in Meg's hand questioned, "What classes are you taking?" Meg handed her the class schedule. "Wow! We share almost all the classes, except" She frowned "Bio and English" "I'll survive" being alone in a couple of classes was better than being alone in all the classes. Lissa dragged her to their first class to introduce her to her other friends since the teacher hadn't come in yet there was plenty of time for introductions. The tall and intelligent looking girl was Emma, Meg couldn't remember the names of the twin sisters who were really pretty and the cute looking guy was Cam, he was Lisa's boyfriend. They looked cute together despite the stark contrast in their hair color, he had ash blonde hair and she had thick red curls like fire that moved into her face with every movement of her head. Meg's heart melted when Lisa introduced her to others saying that she is her best friend. All the conversations in the seized when the teacher had walked in. At lunch, however, they all had fun talking with each other and Meg realized Lisa's friends were a good bunch of people she also noticed how her best friend's entire face lit up when Cam joined them a while later thanks to some sports practice, though they had been away from each other only for a single hour they both pretended like they have been away for ages. Meg just rolled her eyes at her blushing friend and grinned. When the bell rang the bookworm, Emma, literally flew out of the cafeteria. Cam had to go away too and the others gradually followed but when Meg got up to do the same Lisa shook her head saying she was not in the mood to attend classes and suggested they should ditch. "The first day of school and I'm already breaking rules" "So what? It's not like we are the only girls on the planet to ditch classes" Liza grinned "Rather than being half bored to death stuck in some class, let me give you a first class tour of our school"
