Chapter Twenty

                                                                        Ambers POV

    I was so excited because even though the school year had started I got to spend this whole weekend with Teival.  He’d pick me up Friday after school, then he’d go home late Sunday afternoon.  I also had to make sure that Willow would have enough food for the weekend since I couldn’t risk seeing her.  She also was only allowed to come down at night while the visiting Alpha was here.  I got home and made sure to get my clothes for the weekend ready since tomorrow was Friday.  I also got through all my homework that I could so I didn’t have much to worry about.  I would still have a little homework but I’ve managed to get most of it finished either in class or during study hall.

     I'm so excited to see Teival

    So am I Ivory, it’s been so long since we last saw each other

    He doesn’t message us much either and we were lucky to call him once every few weeks

    I’m sure he had his reasons, remember training to be an Alpha is harder

    I guess you’re right, but the other girls heard from their mates more than us

    But they also knew their mates longer then we have

    I suppose you’re right, I can’t wait to meet his wolf

    Same here, but we have one more summer of training and another school year left

    I wish our parents weren’t such awful people

    Same, if they loved Willow and treated her like their daughter then I would've left with Teival

    Alas they are horrible people, once Willow is safe we should cut all contact with them

    Yeah I’d be okay with that, it’s such a struggle to even want to be around them anymore.

    After I finished with everything I needed to and after everyone was asleep I went to Willow's room to give her some food.  She was sitting on her bed waiting for me.  I said Hi and made sure she’d be okay.  Then she asked me if I would let her go to the old library in the attic.  I thought for a moment, the last time anyone has gone in there was a long while ago, I also remembered there being a secret passageway that either no one knew about or forgot about.  I decided I’d let her, however she’d only be able to be up there one hour a week or so and could only bring four books at a time with her and she had to put them back exactly as she found them.

    We went to where the passageway was and I let her in and gave her the key and anything else she’d need.  I then went back to my room to sleep.

    I woke up, got ready and went to school.  I was so excited to see Teival today, the day went by rather slowly for once since I wanted to be anywhere but there today.

    I ran out the door when the school day ended and I saw Teival there waiting for me.  I ran up to him and he smiled and hugged me.  We got in the car and we talked on the way home about lots of things.  I felt so happy and allowed myself for that moment to forget all the awful things going on.  When we got home he told me to go change into something more comfortable since we were going to go on a hike.

                                                                                (Willows POV)

    When my sister gave me the key to the secret passage to the old library I was so happy.  I immediately went and was in amazement of how many books there were.  I was happy I got my reading skills up to where they were supposed to be so I would have a better time understanding these books.  I began looking around for books about blessed wolves.  There were a lot of them but I decided to only grab two and head back to my room quietly.  I knew that Amber's mate and some of his pack were going to be visiting for a few days and I was ecstatic about it.  This meant I wouldn’t be bothered during the day and could read as much as I wanted which made me feel so happy.  When we had visitors come over I would only be allowed to clean at night and I had to make quick work of it too.  This meant I would have all day to re-add or do whatever I wanted.

    When I woke up the next morning I did my usual morning routine and got dressed.  Then I did a bit of sewing so I could mend some clothes and continue making more of course.  When that was done I began reading the books I grabbed.  Even though they were thick I found myself being able to read them fairly quickly.  By the time I finished the first book I grabbed it was still light outside.  I was surprised but decided to read a bit more.  I finished the second book by the time I needed to go downstairs to clean.  I figured this must be one of my powers.  This was one I would probably use a lot since I’ve begun to enjoy reading a great deal.

    After cleaning and took the books back to the old library and put them back where they belonged.  I then went and grabbed two more for tomorrow.  These books weren’t as useful as I thought they would but it was fine.  I had to read all of them so I could try and find answers.  I even began using a notebook I found in the trash that was barely used as a way to write down my findings.  As much as I loved Amber I had a feeling she would be safer left in the dark about my powers.  I didn’t want to risk anything which also sucked as I felt like I had no one to talk to about this other than my wolf.  I had to make sure I kept my findings a secret as well so I began hiding them under my bed since I’d need to get to them more often than the other things I had hidden.  It was also a bit frustrating because I had no idea what I needed to be looking for.  Then I realized one thing that could possibly help a tiny bit.  I shifted at 13 which is incredibly rare for that to happen.  I also noticed there was like a directory sort of thing in the old library.  The next time I go I’d use it to my advantage and jot down some of the names of books there that I’d need to read next.
