PLOT: When a killer called The Devil goes on a killing streak that sends fear among the public, the officials urge to catch the killer either alive or dead ASAP.Ms.Samantha(ACP) has been appointed as chief investigating officer. She tries to catch the killer,before he kills another victim,with the help of her friend Vijay, an ex-cop,.During their investigation, many secrets are about to be revealed which will send a shockwave to the entire country,about the dark side of politics, media manipulation and spiritual fraud. Sam wakes up in her bed sleepy and tired because of her work last night and tries to reach her phone on her table. Suddenly, her phone starts ringing. ''Aah s**t here it starts'' says Sam. She checked her phone. It was a call from her station saying they received a call reporting an unidentified dead body found below the bridge. She replied," Send our men to the area and I'll join them at the location''. She hung up the call and started getting dressed to investigate the crime scene. After a few minutes, she reached the scene covered by a bunch of reporters trying to capture the crime scene , doctors examining the body and other police officials trying to control the crowd surrounding the area. Walking close to the body, she says," Yep, what a fine day to start '' sarcastically. On reaching the doctor's who was examining the body, she asked the doctor what we have here. The doctor replied that this was a 45yr-old male body identity unknown, being tortured for several days. The killer destroyed the face with his bare hands and killed the victim last night by taking his heart out and placing it in his hand.Hearing this, Sam was shocked by the cruelty of the killer. Sam asked the other officers to find the complaints about missing persons matching the body, then suddenly an officer came running and told her that this was Mr.Francis, the famous public prosecutor who had been missing for the past 10days. Sam says another famous official was murdered in the past 3 months.Sam told the doctors to conduct an autopsy and send the report as soon as possible before leaving the scene. When she leaves, Sam notices something beneath the body and asks the officials to check and it is revealed to be a playing card saying number 3 and a picture of the Devil behind it. On seeing the card, Sam understands that the killer calls himself ''The Devil'' and he is the one behind the murder.Sam gets a call from the head office asking her to meet them as fast as she can, then Sam leaves the place and heads towards the Headquarters. At the Headquarters, Mr.John,Narendar,Martin and other high officials were in a dilemma about the situation. When Sam arrived, the meeting started. Mr.John-we are here for some serious issues. Yes, the serial killing case.There were 3 high-ranking officials, including the body of Mr.Francis, whose body was found early in the morning, and other random civilians in random places surrounding our city, so there were a total of 7 kills as of now. The public and media started questioning us, so we need to find the killer ASAP and find all the information about him. He looks at Ms.Sam and says Sam, we are appointing you as the Chief investigating officer for this case and we will provide you with full manpower and support to catch him. Sam replies- Yes sir,I'll do my best. Mr.John-Anything interesting you got at the crime scene earlier,he asked her. Yes sir, the killer calls himself "The Devil", Sam answered.The Devil he replies. Mr.Martin and Narendar look at Sam and tell her to "catch him fast before he kills another victim." When they are busy discussing the possibility of any connection between the people who died and possible suspects,the Projector placed on the hall starts flickering and plays a haunted theme automatically. What's happening here, check that?John asked his assistant. When his assistant runs to check, the screen stops flickering and starts livestreaming a video. A sinister laugh starts.Everyone started staring the screen curiously. Sinister laugh Stops. "Well, well, well, what do we have here", says the man wearing a devil's mask and reveals he'sMr.D aka "The DEVIL". John questions the technicians about how our system was breached. Devil - Hello guys, I know you are all busy collecting the corpses left by me. Now you're all working,thanks to me you're paid for your work correctly at least once in your career,and I'll make sure you are paid for all your work in future endeavors also.Ha ha ha.... He starts laughing again.But he is stopped by Mr.John .Who are you?What do you want?What is your motive?Why are you doing this? John started questioning him. Well, I'm the one you are all searching for,Mr.D replied.What do I want!? My motive!? Why am I doing this!? That's for me to know and for you Dot dot dot......he replied sarcastically and started laughing again. Sam interrupts and says "I'm coming for you! And no matter what, I will catch you wherever you're hiding".Once I do, I'll make you suffer for all the inhuman things you've done to all those people. Oh girl, seems like you're a tough one. Ha, I love it. I'm looking forward to our first meeting and I promise you one thing. Our Meeting Will Be Spectacularrrrrrr!!!!!!! But before that, I wanna tell something to the people sitting there. This is not gonna end until I clean up the society corrupted by all of you. Until then, good luck losing all your close ones,friends,colleagues, and wait for me to get killed by my hands. OK, now it seems like we are gonna stop here as of today. Looking at Sam, he says "Hey Love", Before I go, I'm gonna give you a lead about my next victim who is living his last days.D starts laughing again.Sam yells"Stop it!" and tell who he is?.Sam yells at him angrily. Anything for you love. He is a famous con artist who's successfully manipulating people for quite a long time.No more clues love.Now it's on you, try your best to find him before I kill him. He laughs and then streaming ends. John orders Sam to find the one who D mentioned,and save him before D catches him.Sam nods confidently and leaves the place. While driving her car, Sam believed that there must be a connection between all the victims murdered by D.and she was sure that she would uncover the truth behind the killing. Sam starts an investigation. Week 1 Of Investigation. Sam asked the officers to bring detailed information about the victims,like their previous work and any possible reasons which may have led to their deaths and also the forensic data, in an hour. After sometime, Officer 1-Mam, here's the data you asked for. 'Anything interesting,' Sam questioned. Nothing suspicious, mam, but there is something that the previous investigators left out', the officer replied. Sam asked, what's that? Officer 1-The deceased victims somehow seems to be working on the Ms.Sahitha murder case 5 years ago,where the killer was not found till today. Sam seemed to be in a dilemma, mam! officer called her. Sam- You mean the case which he worked on? Officer1-Yes mam, that case. What case they're talking about, officer 2 asks Officer 3. That's a famous case in which the suspect seems to be escaped and till not caught. How the previous investigators had missed this lead, Sam asked herself. Officer 1-Mam,that case happened several years back and the victims seem like they don't really know each other personally. They only worked on that case together. After that, they worked in various places. I think maybe that's why no one looked at it. Sam-So we have a case which may have been connected to that unsolved case 5 years ago. Officer 1-Yes mam. Sam-Then what about the civilian victims? Officer 3-Nothing mam. They're just random workers working in various places. It looks like they also don't really know one another. Sam- When I spoke with D, I might say there were no random kills he might commit.He doesn't seem like a guy who goes on a killing streak without any cause. He must have a strong reason for doing these things.I have a feeling that all the 7 victims must be connected somehow, but I wonder what!. Officer 1-What's our next step mam? Sam-I want the case file of Sahitha's case and find the whereabouts of that case investigator. Officer 3-Mam, you mean Mr.. Sam-Yes him, Mr.Vijay. Officer 3-Yes mam. The officers left the cabin.Sam started thinking about the case. Who is Mr.Vijay? Officer 2 asked Officer 3. Sometimes I forget that you're a newbie here.He is the Ex-ACP who investigated that case 5 years ago,Officer 3 replied.Ex-ACP?Yes, after that case he retired at such a young age.After the events of that case.officers discussed it while walking in the office. Somewhat Sam looks sad when she hears them talking about Vijay. The next day, Excuseme Mam,Officer 2 knocked on Sam's cabin door. 'Yes'. Sam replied. The officer walked into the cabin. Officer 2-Mam. We found Mr.Vijay. Sam-Where is he now? Here, mam,Officer 2 showed his the location to her. Well, get ready, we're going to this place now. Sam, along with the other officers, went searching for him. After a while, they reached their destination.The place seemed a remote village in a hilly area.They stepped out of the car and started walking towards the streets of the village. While entering the village, a girl bumped into Sam out of nowhere. Sam-Slow down kiddo,look where you're going, little miss. Girl-Sorry lady, I didn't see you. Officer 2-What are you doing here, you little thing? Girl-I'm playing with my friends, Mr.weirdo. Officer 2-Come here you little!!! Sam-Stop it. Officer 2-Sorry Mam. She started it. Sam-Well cutie, it's not safe for a young cute girl like you to wander alone here, so be a good girl and go join your friends, okay? Girl-OK lady. The girl hugs her and starts running into the village. Guys avoid unnecessary attention,and don't take out your weapons until I say! Clear ! Officers-Yes Mam. Once they entered the village, the officers showed Vijay's picture to the people and asked about his place. Suddenly, a random villager saw them wandering on the streets. He stops them and starts questioning them. Villager 1-Who are you people? What are you doing here?Why are you people looking for him? Officer 3-Well sir,we are from the city.This man here(shows him photo). We're his coworkers who worked with him several years ago. Villager 1-Then why are you here now after all those years looking for him? You might have come sooner. Officer 3-Well we don't really know where he's been for all these years and we found him only last night. Villager 2-Who are all these clowns? What's their business here? Villager 1-They are asking about our chief. Sam-Chief? Villager 2-why do these clowns want to meet our chief? Villager 1-They say that they are our chief's friends. Villager 2-Hmm....They look suspicious to me! Villager 1-I too felt that,well call our men and ask them to take these people to our chief.Our chief may decide what to do with them. Villager 2-We have our eyes on you,don't do any silly things here, all right? Villager 2 whistles. Suddenly, a group of men surrounded them,and they took them to the chief's shop. Officer 3-Well, where are we going? Villagers-Shhh.......to the bar. Officer 2-Thanks but we are not really in the mood to grab a drink. Villager 2-Stop you clown, that's where our chief is. Officer 3 looked at officer 2 and asked him to stay polite,and stop making fun of the situation. After a while, Sam and the officers along with the villagers reached the bar.But Sam seemed to be somewhat disturbed. While entering the bar, Sam's eyes searched for Vijay. Chief, you have some visitors. Villager 2 called him.''Yeah,show them a table, I'll be there in a sec''Vijay replied.Villager 2 showed them a table at the last corner of the bar.Sam looked on the way.Suddenly a man with towel on his shoulder approached the table and asked''how can i help you''.Officer 3 looks excited on seeing that guy,Sam rises her head.On looking her Vijay seems happy.When Sam saw his face,she burned in anger,her eyes turn red.Sam stands up.Before Vijay greets her,Sam Yells you son of a ...and slaps him very hard.Everyone including the officers and villagers seems to be in shock, the villagers went towards sam but eventually they are stopped by vijay. A conversation begins, Vijay-Ah wow ,seems like someone is still angry with me? Villager 2-You rude girl, how arrogant of you to hit our chief? Vijay-Chill Mr.Jira. She's my friend. We usually greet each other like this. There is nothing to worry about. I have something to talk about with them. Mr.Jira-Ok sir. Vijay-Well Mr.Jira,will you do me a favor? Mr.Jira-Tell me sir.what's the matter? Vijay-Can you find that trouble seeker and bring her here to me? Mr.Jira-Haha, well, sir, it's a tough job, you know! But yes, I will. Mr.Jira leaves the place. Sam seemed like she still hadn't cooled down.Vijay sat next to her and the conversation started. Vijay-Yadav,Gupta,and the newbie. How are you guys doing? Officer 2-I'm Lee sir,pleasure meeting you sir. (Officer 1-Yadav;Officer 2-Lee;Officer 3-Gupta) Gupta-Sorry sir we took a long time to come and see you. Yadav-We are afraid to face you sir,that's why we never came looking for you. Vijay-What man,just don't mention those past incidents,now you're all here. That's what really matters now. Gupta and Yadav looked towards Sam but she still seemed frustrated towards Vijay. Confused by this scenario,'Gupta sir, what's going on between them', Lee whispered in Gupta's ears. Gupta replied''Ms.Sam and Vijay Sir have been friends for 15 years. Vijay Sir's sudden retirement and disappearance made Ms. Sam very upset. That's why she was angry with him'' Vijay-How long are you planning to sit like this? Sam-Shut the hell up mister! Vijay-Woah now you are talking,attagirl! Sam-I've been looking for you for the past 5 years, you dumb? Vijay-oh its been 5 years now, woah time sure flies fast,is that right lee? Lee-sure it is sir. Sam starts beating Vijay again. Gupta tries to stop her, but that doesn't stop her. Atlast Sam stops hitting him and gets tired. Vijay-Now tell me how are you? How are you doing these days? Sam-Why do you care mister? It's none of your business! Vijay-Then tell me how you found me and why are you guys here? Lee-I found you sir! You know Sir, I'm a good techie,haha! Vijay-Well good for you lee! Sam-Why didn't you tell me either before you leave? Vijay-Well you know.... Vijay started thinking about an answer to her question but found none and said sorry to her.Sam hugged him and felt emotional. They shared an emotional reunion,but was interrupted by Jira. Jira-Sir! Here comes the troublemaker you asked for. Jira brings forwards a small girl to the bar.That girl somehow identifies Sam and runs towards her and hides behind her. Sam-Hey cutie! We met again. What are you doing here kiddo?(that girl doesn't speak a word and looks at Vijay politely). Vijay-Wait. You know her? Sam-Yeah she is the first one I met when I came to this village. Vijay-Oh right!Hiding behind her doesn't help you younglady come forward. Sam-Wait who is she? Why are you threatening her? Vijay-Well, this small troublemaker is Abhi. Sam-Wait a second,are you kidding me? Is she really her? Vijay-Yeah she is. Sam-Wow come here cutie,let me take a good look,woah,look how well you've grown.I almost couldn't recognize you at all. Vijay-Yes she's an all grown-up young lady now. Sam starts hugging and kissing her. Abhi-You're squeezing me miss,let me get some air. Sam-Wow now you speak pumpkin. Abhi-Who's this old lady dad? Gupta and Yadav-Dad?!!!! Vijay-Well this oldlady was my friend sweetheart. Sam-Oldlady? Vijay-Just Kidding sam. Vijay tells Mr.Jira to take her to eat some food.Before leaving,Abhi kisses Vijay,hugs Sam and slaps Lee playfully and leaves the bar. Sam-Oh god Vijay! She looks absolutely gorgeous. Vijay-Yeah! She is.Now tell me what made you guys come looking for me after all this time. Sam, Yadav and Gupta keep looking at each other and figure out who's gonna tell Vijay about the case.They all look towards Mr.Lee. Vijay-Come on tell me. Lee-Well sir, we came here asking for help. Vijay-Help!from me!are you serious? Sam-We have a serious case Vj. I think you might be interested in this case. Lee-It's about Mr. Devil Case, Sir,. Vijay-Whatever maybe,Sorry Sam, I really don't want to interfere in a cop's business, you know.I'm retired!. Sam-Come on Vj!Just take a look at this case file. Sam gives Vj a case file.Vj hesitantly starts turning the pages and starts looking at the victims.As he goes through the file, Vj starts losing his temper. Sam-Yes I think he's back again Vj,and now he even calls himself by a name. Vijay took a long breath and kept his calm before starting talking. Vijay-How does it interest me Sam? It's none of my business. Sam-Oh come on Vj, I saw how you lost your cool just now. Vijay-Anyway I don't wanna interfere, Sam.Have a drink and leave, guys,please! Vijay left the table and started walking away. Sam-I came here not because I just found you yesterday.I know you've been living here since the very next year you left me,but I keep controlling myself to give you time so you can finally be able to spend time with her,and watch her grow without any worries,but now you're not safe here anymore Vj. Vijay stopped. Sam-Look at all the deceased victims Vj! They're all somehow involved in that case,the case which took things that are important to you,the case which took you away from me,the case which made our little pumpkin lose her mom.If somewhat the killings have a connection to that old case,I'm sure that you will already be a potential target to him.So,It's time to put an end to this case,before he comes looking for you and her. Vijay finally convinces himself to help her solve that case only whether this case has ties with his old case several years back.Vijay goes to Abhi and told her that he will be left this place for a week to help sam,and ask her to stay with Mrs.Jira till he came. Ahbi asks him to bring her along with him,but he rejects her by saying it's not safe for her.Vijay convinces her by saying that she will be the chief-incharge as of now and it's her responsibility to protect the village till he comes back.Abhi nods her head and promises that she will be the best chief and take care of the village until vj returns.Mr.Jira told Vj that he will accompany him along his trip,but vj told him to stay back and protect his daughter,Jira promises him that his wife and his father-in-law along with villagers protect her from any harms,and Jira himself protect Vijay and bring him back to his daughter.Abhi ordered Vijay to took Mr.Jira with him in that way she feels relaxed,unable to decline her order he allows Jira to come with him.Vijay and Jira starts getting ready to leave.Sam promises Abhi that once the problem is over she will bring his father back to her and hopefully she also be back here along with him,Vijay and Jira came back with their things and starts leaving along with sam and others.All the villagers comes to send-off Vj and Jira on their trip.Abhi starts running towards Vj hugged him as a goodbyes and calls sam to give her,the ID she stoles when she bumped sam on the entrance earlier.Sam and others seems surprised,sam laughs and kissed her and ask her to be safe,and they left the village. A few hours later,while driving, Gupta asked Vijay, Gupta-Sir? Vijay-Yes Mr.gupta. Gupta-Sir, Is Abhi the daughter of.... Vijay answered ''Yes'' before Gupta completed his question.Vj starts questioning them about the current status of the case. Vijay-well are there any leads we have in this case? Sam-Yes we have a lead on the possible targets, Vijay-Well its good,who's the target? Lee-That's the problem sir,we don't have a name of the target. Vijay-What?Then how do you get the information?Who told you about the target? Sam-See this video you'll understand.(Sam shows Vj and Jira the video recording of Mr.D) Vijay-So he left you guys a riddle to solve!, right? Yadav-Yes Sir. Vijay-Why do you believe that this guy has any connection with my old case? Sam-We'll solve this once we find the next target. If he also has any connection to your case,then it will be,the same suspect who escaped 5 years back. Vijay-Then how do you plan to find the next target? Sam-For that we have to find the reasons and any possible connection between the other deceased victims killed by Mr.D. Vijay-What other victims? Sam-Yes, other than these 3,there are 4 other civilians who have been killed by him in various places. Vijay-Well,girl, you have one hell of a case!Why did you take this case? Sam-Sighs!It was a call made by my superiors. Vijay-Speaking of them,did you tell them about me? Sam-Not until now,why? Vijay-Don't tell'em about me!I'm only here to help you, not for them.And, let me make one thing clear to you!As long as i convinced that this case is connected to Sahitha's case, I'll comply with you along with the case. Later that evening,they reached the city.Sam invited Vj and Mr.Jira to stay with her at her house.Other officers dropped them at Sam's house and left.Sam showed Vj and Jira their room and asked them to join dinner within an hour.After having dinner, they went to sleep.Later midnight Vijay gets fragments of his case and woke up,unable to sleep he spent the night by reading Sam's casefile,after a while he went to sleep. The next day,at Sam's house, Vj told Sam that he and Mr.Jira had some important things to do about the case,and asked her to go to the office and proceed with the investigation. He and Jira would join her later today at the office.Sam told him that it was not safe for them to go alone,and told him that she would also go with them.Vj told her that Sam's presence didn't help them. It was better for them to go alone.Sam gave them her car and call her once any bad thing happens.Vj nodded and they left the house.After a while Sam went to the office,and asked the officials to accompany her to the places where the bodies of previous victims had been found.They went to the places and found zero leads on the case,frustrated by that sam and others returned to the station,sam asked Me.Lee to check the cctv footage of those areas,and goes to her cabin. Later that day, Sam got a call from Vijay.Vijay asked her to arrange a meeting with the officers who are all been working on the case later that evening.Sam asked him if he found any leads about the case,he replied that he would tell her once he reached there,and he cut the call.Sam opened her cabin door and ordered the officers working on this case to attend a meeting at the conference room in an hour. After an hour,Vijay and Jira reached the office.The conversation began,. Sam-Well? Where have you guys been? Anything interesting? Vijay-Well,we have some information about the civilian victims. Sam-What do you have? Vijay-Mr.Lee!You are a techie, right? Lee-Yes Sir. Vijay-Well, I want you to pull out the information you have on these victims,their records for the last 5 years. Lee-Sure sir,give me a few minutes. Gupta-What happened sir? Vijay-These are not some random kills,it's a pattern. Yadav-Sir, by pattern you mean they are all connected to this case? Vijay-Yes,I think so. Lee-Sir there is nothing fishy about them sir. Vijay-Dig deep,about where they worked 5 years ago. Sam-Come on Vj,tell me what's happening? Vijay-Hold on a minute. Lee-Sir we have something sir,they're all worked in the same city for a year, 5 years ago. Sam-Which city? Vijay-The place where Sahita was found dead. Sam-What? Gupta-What does it mean? Vijay-It means Mr.D is either the suspect who's been hiding for 5 years or? Sam-The one who's somewhat related to her,who has been hunting everyone involved in her case. Yadav-But sir,After all these years, why did he have to kill these people,when the suspect himself had escaped and hiding for years! Sam-So that D in Devil means him! Vijay-It's either your killer, Mr.D, is for Dev or someone who lost everything in that case.So somehow your case and mine seem to be connected now,so let's catch him before he kills another one. Lee-Sir, I have a question.How are these civilians connected with those high-rank officials? Vijay-I think there will be more than one who are gonna get killed by Mr.D in the future.So we had better keep going. Sam-Vj! Why those officials? Even if they don't know each other,how are they connected? Vijay-Well Sam, never assume what you've been told by your superiors.And never trust the data they give. OK! Sam-What do you mean by that?Are you saying that they've been hiding something? Vijay-Well,Never say never sam! The meeting ends.Sam,Vj and Jira leave the office and return home.Later that night, Sam gets a call from Lee. Sam picked up the call and asked him what happened?Lee told Sam that the CCTV footage where the civilian victims' bodies were found to be somehow, deleted on a specific date,and it matched the day their bodies were found.Sam asks him to try to recover the footage and brings to the office tomorrow.Sam hung the phone call,and leaves the room.She goes to the basement of her house.Vj noticed sam leaves the room and follows her.Sam Turned the lights on of her basement,Vj seemed shocked on things he saw on her basement.There is a detailed layout on Sahitha case and Mr.D case and sam somehow managed to collect the dots of those cases. Vijay-What's this sam? Sam-Goddamn vj! What are you doing here? Vijay-I saw you leave the room so I followed you here!Now tell me what is this?For all these years you have still been investigating my case? Sam-Well,what more I can do Vj.It's the only thing I can do to give her a closure. Vijay-Why didn't you tell me Sam? Sam-Well, I do not wanna disturb you Vj,that's all. Vijay-Wow Sam you are something!Well, anything have you found? Sam-Not until today,you told me about those civilians. I think we have been misguided about your case all the way. Vijay-What makes you feel that way? Sam-Look at the victims, a cab driver who ruled against Dev in court, a reporter who followed that case, a shop owner next to the place where Sahitha was kidn*pped by Dev,and the Cop who investigated that case,before you tookover.It looks like they're all connected with her case. Vijay-So are you saying that the one who killed my sister 5 years ago and all the victims now is Dev?My sis is his lawyer.Why did he kill her when she's the one who stands for him against the crime. Sam-You know about Her right.Her methods of justice are somewhat different. If she found that her client was in mistake, she made'em confess before the court.So I think when the day she asked Dev to meet her,she told him that she found that he was the one who killed Sahitha,and asked him to confess so she could get him a minimum sentence rather than death sentence.On hearing that Dev may get angered and killed her and goes hiding before anyone arrived.that's what i think might happened. Vijay-So that means I was right all along,but she never believed me!If she believed me earlier,we would've prevented all these killings!right? Sam-I don't know Vj! That's what I think might happen.We must have solid evidence to prove that Dev is Mr.D.But what's more confusing is why now,after those years? He may have killed them a long time ago, but why now?and who is gonna be added to that list? Vijay-I have no idea.You got something? Sam-No.Vj! Sam told Vj about Mr.Lee's phone call earlier. Vijay-Let's go to the office tomorrow to check what Mr.Lee found!Have some sleep OK!
