Hearing the name, both Jack and his anxious wife stood up, eyeing the nurse who smiled at them politely as she beckoned for them to follow her.
“Which one is the patient?” she asked as they reached the door, and Alexandra immediately pointed at her husband.
“She will have tests too,” he answered, and the nurse smiled and explained that they would have to have the test one at a time.
“She can’t go inside with me?” he asked, and the nurse shook her head.
“The missus will have her tests separately,” the nurse answered kindly, and when the CEO looked like he wanted to question, a protest budding at the tip of his tongue, his wife calmed her upset husband down and made him follow the kind nurse to the room without further fuss.
