Chapter 25
The next day, the twelve moons came to an end.
In the afternoon, as agreed, the Vikings came to get him and were greeted with much joy by the tribe.
"Where's Thorald?" asked Ulfr.
"He is in his tepee, come I’ll take you there," replied Great Eagle. The young man heard the voices and laughter coming from the outside, took a deep breath and went out. The Vikings’ surprise at seeing him still wearing the native clothes was evident on their faces.
"What does this mean?" asked Ulfr.
"Brother, my place is here, where I have been reborn," Thorald explained, pushing away the flap of the entrance, to allow Red Moon to come out by his side.
Dumbfounded, the men turned to look at Great Eagle, who smiled and nodded his head, then looked again at Thorald. He was, at last, serene.
