The next 2 days were a whirl of decorating and preparing at the Golden Moon pack. By Friday, Amanda spent the morning wearing a headset and ordering g people around for her sisters Luna ceremony. Preparing for the visitors to arrive. The Golden Moon Pack was a large and adoring pack. It made sense to Amanda that the Moon Goddess would choose Princess Heather as the Luna. It seemed strength in its leadership and Amanda knew that Heather and James would provide just that. By the afternoon, Amanda was in the family suite with her sister, Stacey and Kim. They were having their hair and make-up done and would head down to the dinner together. Once they were dressed, they took a bunch of pictures together. “Hey beautiful. I have a boring event tonight im running late - as usual. I will try to message you. Amanda read the text from Jake and was excited to hear from him. They had been in touch over the last few days but both had been so busy that they hadn’t had a chance to really talk. “I have something going on tonight too,” she messaged him. “But know im think of you too,”. Amanda looked at her reflection in the mirror. Her hair was down and flowing in large waves. Her tiara rested gently on her head. Her eyes were dar and smoky. Her lips were a dusted rose. It was a more dramatic look than she would normally choose but everyone insisted she looked like a model. The dress fit her top like a glove - and with the built in bodice she didn’t have to wear a bra and her cleavage was still incredible. It flowed elegantly around her body. “Which necklace are you going to wear sis?” Heather asked her. Amanda put in the diamond heart earrings. Then made the decision to swap necklaces. She took off the pendant and put it carefully away in the box. She took out the wolf, moon, heart one. “Excellent choice sis!” Heather did it up for her. “I thought you didn’t get it?” Stacey asked gasping at how perfect it was. Amanda smiled. “It was a surprise gift from a friend”. She admired it in the mirror. It was perfect. It was time for their gran entrance. Heather went down the stairs first. James’ eyes lit up at the sight of her. You could see the hearts in his eyes. He embraced her and kissed her passionately. Stacey then Kim went down the stairs next, each greeted by their mate, prepared to walk them into the party. Amanda’s phone was dinging in her silver sequinned clutch purse. She paused to check it. “Where are you?” “Why is your scent flooding my mind?” “Are you close?” Amanda tossed her phone back in, making a mental note to get back to him as soon she was seated at the table. She headed down the staircase. Kyle was waiting for her, the biggest smile on his face. There were murmurs from the crowd whenever the unmated princess was at an event which was why it was always safest for Kyle to be her escort into the garden. To ensure that no one tried to wrongfully claim her. “You look so incredibly beautiful, your majesty”, Kyle told her, his eyes taking her in. “I don’t think you have ever been more stunning,” he gasped. “Oh stop!” She squeezed his bicep. He looked amazing in his black suit and black tie with a white dress shirt. He offered his arm. “Shall we?” He asked. She nodded. Their parents went in first to much applause. Then was Heather and James. Their pack truly loved them and it was evident by the wild applause. Stacey and her mate Jason and Kim and her mate Brian were next. “Are you ready?” Kyle asked as she took a deep breath. “Oh yes. I love being the un mated freak of a Princess that everyone loves to gawk at,” Amanda told him with a serious tone - causing him to laugh. “Well you’re about to make every male wolf excited so I guess I’m the one who needs to be ready, he told her, giving her a wink and putting on his sunglasses. “Next we welcome our future, un mated Queen and her escort. She’s about to knock your socks off so brace yourself boys!” The dj announced. “Is he for real? Like did he just seriously say that, like I’m a prized cow being auctioned?” She hissed angrily. Kyle threw his head back in laughter. They started to enter the garden when Amanda was overwhelmed with the scent of ashwood, smoke and mint. It was stronger than ever, even stronger than when she was in his arms. “No,” she gasped. “This can’t be happening,” she breathed deeply. “Amanda?” Kyle asked as she paused to breathe. He was there. He was in this crowd of hundreds. And there was no doubt in her mind. She could see clearly. Feel clearly. Smell clearly. Xena was awake. And she was moving around inside of Amanda’s brain. “Mate mate mate,” Xena was panting softly. “I don’t know what’s happening Kyle,” she breathed. He gave her a slight pull and she willed her feet to move one in front of the other.
