Shopping

As they drove along to the mall near their kingdom, Amanda settled back for the 45 minute drive. She pulled out her phone expecting a ton of angry texts. But surprisingly, they weren’t full of anger. “Please. I can’t go 5 days without seeing you. Let’s find a way to make this work” “Can I meet you at the mall? I’m a great shopper” “It was hard seeing you linking arms with your driver. I was crushed. But I believe in us. I hope you do too” “It feels like it’s been an eternity. I need to hold you. I need to breathe in your scent. I miss you already. Trust the process. Believe in the mate bond.” “I want to love you, worship you, and cherish you” Amanda’s heart swooned. She was falling head over heels for this man. But she needed to approach this carefully. “I miss you,” she wrote. “I miss you too,” he responded. “Amanda. You are my mate. You are my everything. I know it’s true. I can feel it.” Amanda sighed. She knew he was right. “I don’t know what to say,” was her response as she slid her phone back into her purse. She let out a long sigh. “You ok?” Kyle asked her, meeting her eye from the rear view mirror. Amanda just nodded. “I will be,”. They arrived at the mall and Amanda was met at the door by her sister Heather and her friends, Stacey and Kim. They were her Beta female and Gamma females. And they were full of energy. Kyle parked the car and joined them and Heathers guard Markus. “Ok let’s get dresses!” Amanda exclaimed as she linked arms with her sister to head into the mall. They headed straight to the large dress shop. Since the colours of Heather’s new pack were sapphire and gold, Amanda wanted to play up those colours. She found Heather a floor length, satin, sapphire gown. It had an a-line waist, tons of tulle underneath it to make it puffy and a slight train. The top was simple, a heart shaped chest and thick straps. Heather tried it on and came out to gasps from all of the girls. “Omg Heather!” Stacey squealed. “It is beyond perfect”, Kim gasped. “You look beautiful sis,” Amanda smiled. She hugged her sister. Heathers eyes filled with tears. “I didn’t expect to find this.” She smiled warmly at her sister. Amanda found Stacey a straight floor length, satin, gold dress with a slit in the side to her thigh. For Kim, who was more petite, they opted for a short, gold satin dress with spaghetti straps. Amanda found her dress by accident. It was sitting there and it was perfect. She actually gasped when she found it. It was silver floor length and flowing satin, with a sparkling lace over lay over the skirt of the dress. The top was spaghetti straps and a satin top. There were gemstones along the waist that glittered like diamonds. Silver was the dominant colour of the north. The girls gasped when they saw it. “It’s 100% you Amanda”, Heather was excited. Even Kyle smiled when he saw her and gave her a nod of approval. Once the dresses were paid for, they made their way to the shoe store. Amanda opted for 4 inch stilettos. They were open toed silver satin shoes. For Heather they chose gold studded heels, with a closed toe Stacey opted for gold flats, and Kim got black heels with a closed toe. Once they bought their shoes they were exhausted. They would have their hair and make up done that day so they just needed accessories. Amanda was able to find Heather a beautiful gold set. A large necklace with a blue sapphire heart. Matching gold and sapphire earrings. Stacey opted for a gold chain and Kim went with a layered looking necklace with gold hoop earrings. Amanda chose white gold, heart shaped diamond earrings. She fingered her white gold pendent around her neck. “Maybe something different, Amanda?” Stacey suggested as they walked through the jewelry store. “It’s a long story,” Amanda told her, her eyes roaming the necklaces. Then she found it. A white gold sparkling chain with a tiny wolf pendant, a tiny moon, and a tiny heart. “This!” Amanda cried out. It was a short chain, a little larger than a choker. But she knew it would go perfectly. She stared at it for a few moments but then just shook her head, riddled in guilt. “Maybe not this time,” she said and returned to the cash, leaving the necklace behind. The jewelry store clerk gave her a sad smile and then put the chain back in the display case. “Can we eat yet?” Markus asked as him and Kyle stood outside the store, laden in dresses and shoe bags. “Yes!” The girls cheered as they made their way to the food court. All dashing off in different directions for their goods of choice, Amanda turned to Kyle, who remained dutifully at her side. “I’m so lucky to have you Kyle,” she smiled at him. “I would hug you Princess, but as you can see my arms are a bit tied up. Amanda laughed at the bags stacked in his huge arms. “Let me buy you dinner!” Amanda laughed as she lead him to a huge table with extra room for their bags. He gave her his order of 2 massive burritos and she laughed then ran off to get it for him, opting for chicken tacos herself. While she waited for their order she saw the jewelry store clerk enter the food court, looking around frantically. “Miss!” She cried out, making eye contact with Amanda and running over. She handed her a bag. Inside was a light blue box. Amanda looked at her quizzically. “You have an admirer,” the store clerk smiled at her and gave her a wink before turning and walking away. Amanda opened the box and gasped. Inside lay the beautiful necklace with the moon, heart and wolf charms. There was a handwritten note. I couldn’t be there with you, but I couldn’t help but think of how perfect this would be for you. Amanda just laughed and shook her head. She whipped her phone out from her purse. “Are you stalking me?” She typed laughing. “Stalking? No. I just so happened to be at this mall picking up a boring suit for a boring event coming up when I couldn’t get over this amazing scent. I followed it and saw you leaving the jewelry store.” “How long have you been following me?” She demanded. “Not long enough beautiful,” he responded. “And sadly I got pulled away before I could show myself. Just know that I’m with you. I’m thinking about you. Always,”. “I miss you” Amanda responded. “I miss you too,” Jake typed back. Amanda sighed and put her phone back in her purse. She grabbed the tray of ready food and brought it over to Kyle and the others. She wished so badly that her life wasn’t this complicated. That she could enjoy being with her mate.
