It was dark now. Wherever we were there were barely any lights on the roads we had to navigate to get to Mr.Angelini's cabin. Unfortunately I wasn’t even aware that these parts of California existed. I had lost track of how long we had been driving. Gabe had pulled out a blanket from the trunk and wrapped me up in the passenger seat. Like usual, I fell asleep, the sound of the car and the barley lit roads lulling me under. “Baby girl…” Gabe gently coaxed me awake and I smiled up at his much better lit face. We were here. I was so excited to lay in bed with Gabe. After everything that had happened. I needed it. I needed my normal. What I was used to. Among all the chaos it was the only thing that kept me sane. My physical connection with Gabe wasn’t just for pleasure, it was comfort.
