Missing Luna

It was a cold a stormy night when a little pixie got a mysterious phone call. Eliza answered her phone right away, as she was thinking it was her sister Stephanie calling her back finally. “Steph! Finally!” A muffled male voice answered,” Get to Stone River Pack, NOW! Save the kid.” “What kid? Who is this? Hello?! HELLO?” Eliza got a dial tone in her ear. She was nervous, a tad excited, and extremely scared honestly. That wasn’t a good pack.. and even though she could shrink to the size of a fly it still made her stomach flip. She shrank down and off she flew. It looked like a bomb had went off as Eliza swiftly zoomed in and out the trees and homes that were in flames. She couldn’t see any children, it was dreadfully silent. Until Eliza got to the pack house. Wrapped up in a yellow satin blanket was a whimpering baby. Eliza quickly got back to her “large size” and picked the upset baby up. She could hear someone saying they could hear something was still alive. Eliza swiftly shrunk back down and flew as fast as her wings would carry them out of whatever harms way that she was quickly realizing they were in. Eliza flew over an ocean and several rivers and finally reached home. A tiny baby girl was no longer whimpering, but was now fast asleep. “Great! I know nothing about babies!” Eliza murmured to herself. She know staying in her home was not an option. Especially when Gwen the mean old lady was due back from vacation in two days. She would hear the baby softly snoring in less than 10 minutes of being home! Another long journey she thought. She packed her bags, and turned off all the lights. Heading south to Colorado. She owned a huge bed and breakfast in the small town of Golden Lake. She hadn’t been there in over two years. So the hired help would assume the baby was hers. She flew to the small airport, and called Jessica. She knew Stephanie wasn’t gonna answer, so there was no need to waste her time. “Golden Lake View Terrace. Jessica speaking!” A sweet voice answered the phone. “Jess! I’m at the airport! Send Mario with the car to fetch me in 2 hours from the strip mall please!” Eliza told her. “Your finally back!” Jessica was elated with the news. “See ya soon doll!” Eliza said and hung up.. now shopping. She was not a fan, but with a new baby she didn’t have a choice in the matter. First stop was the furniture store. What all did she need for this baby? She wanted to at least pretend she knew what she wanted.. even if she was clueless in baby matters. Ok she sighed. Here we go. Eliza pushed the door open painfully slow. She was hoping Kate wasn’t working and Amelia was. “Liz?” Mia said softly. “Liz?! Did you have a little one and not tell anyone?!” “Mia! Thank goodness! Your just the help I need! Is Kate coming in today?” “She on vacation until Friday Liz.” Mia’s chocolate eyes glistening as she spoke. She came around the counter in her pink and blue uniform and white shoes. Mia had a slinger figure, but you’d never know in the awful uniform. “Yes! Someone loves me!” Giggled Eliza. “I need an entire nursery, from furniture to clothes! And I have 2 hours!” “You didn’t bring anything with you?” Mia was shocked. She know this tiny lady had money, but this was so wasteful! She shook her blond curls. “What theme? Colors? Size?” “Well that’s why I’m here.. I need help! I know I want a dark brown furniture. Got a round bed for my princess? And the airport lost her diaper bag and our suitcases. So, I need everything!” Eliza already looked defeated. Mia felt horrible for judging her. “Ok! First bottles or boob?” “Bottle feeding dear. The soy formula.” Eliza quickly answered. “That we can do! How old is she? Clothing size?” Mia stared speaking quickly. “3 months. She was born on September 1. 3 to 6 months.. but clothes for up to 2 years.. I hate shopping ya know.” Eliza softly said. She was tired and sunk down into the rocking chair. “Let me know when you need the card” “I got free rein?” Mia replied, but turned to see Eliza and the baby fast asleep. Chuckling she got to work. She called the delivery company and said she needed them at the store in an hour. Big delivery and needed stuff put together. She had packed the diaper bag, picked out a car seat, and stroller. She could get over the yellow satin blanket that had a shimmer in it. She did the nursery around a single satin blanket and the small pink and green flowers it had down the side. Mia worked quickly and quietly. Making sure not to disturb baby and momma. When she was all done she gently woke Eliza. “I hope your ready for this.” Mia gulped. “Your grand total is, $23,894.62. I’ll add my discount though so hold on.” “You will not!” Eliza swiped the card and pushed her pin in. And added a 2500 tip. “Mia you saved me days of redoing this shopping again! Enjoy the tip! Bring Julie to swim at the BnB.” “Beeeeep!! Beeeeep! Beep!!!” Eliza knew that was Mario.. He never had any patience with anything or anyone. Mario stared as if he was spellbound. Eliza? Baby? What? He didn’t believe his own eyes. Mario quickly parked the black Mercedes and hopped out of the suv. His small beady eyes matched his grey shirt almost perfectly. His salt and pepper black hair neatly brushed back with gel. “Eliza? Who’s baby did you steal?” He teased. “Oh hush!” No one saw the look of pure panic that quickly flashed in her eyes. “Mario come on you know I need help! Mia had thankfully helped her get her in the seat and into the stroller. But being only 4’3 she struggled to lift the baby out of the stroller. “I can’t believe you went and had one of these!” Mario looked bewilderedly. “Not a call for a single baby gift either. Wait til Jess sees this. Look got her draped in gold already too..” “It’s her name!” Eliza rolled her eyes at him. Although she never noticed it until he pointed it out. “Amy can have a little gold. She’s my sunshine.” Mario glanced and shook his head. Just wait til Jessica and Stephanie see this.. “Right. Sunshine we in trouble!” He whispered to Amy. The girls were going to be so upset. He was not looking forward to this at all. He got Amy and Eliza in and after 10 minutes finally got the stupid baby buggy down and in the car. He could see all the women chuckle as he was struggling. One of them could have helped and not laughed he thought. Amelia let him know the delivery for all the baby stuff would be there in an hour. So they better have somewhere for it to go. “You stuff be there in an hour. Where her room goin’?” “Shoot! Mario! Shoot! I didn’t plan this out well at all did I? Plus Jess and Stephanie.” She groaned. “And you thought I was the bad one.” Mario roared! “Just wait for Steph! She gonna have your head!” “Shut it n drive!” Eliza whined. Maybe this wasn’t the best idea. Too late now. They had pulled into the BnB and sitting on the white porch swing was Jess.
